Today's show takes a look at the events, characters and stories that took place this week in American Western History. It's our chance to put a weekly focus on stories from the Old West with host Jim Dunham and brought to us by the Booth Western Art Museum.

We had the chance to sit down with Amanda Tant, Chief Program Officer, and Cami Kreider, Director of Child and Family Well-being, of Advocates for Children. Today we put a spotlight on two of their inter-related programs, the Family Resource Center and In-Home Parenting. The mission of Advocates is to prevent child abuse and to keep children safe. These programs are just two of the many areas Advocates fo Children provide to those in need.

We had the chance to sit down with Hannah Cook, the Director of Art in Bartow, to discuss their organization and their mission to put more art around the community. We also discussed a free event this Saturday at Jordan Scott Salon with their temporary art display. We also chatted about moves toward getting a mural ordinance for downtown.
