Shelby L. Bobosky is a prominent American animal law attorney, advocate, and educator based in Dallas, Texas. She is highly recognized for her long-term legislative work with the Texas Humane Legislation Network (THLN), where she served as a board member starting in 2011 and as the Executive Director from 2019 until her resignation in January 2026. Throughout her career, she has transitioned from corporate litigation into full-time pro bono advocacy to champion systemic legal protections for animals.
Bobosky is actively campaigning alongside national animal rights groups to support the federal SAFE Act (Save America's Forgotten Equines). H.R. 1661 & S.775. This bipartisan federal legislation aims to permanently ban horse slaughter in the United States and prohibit the export of live horses for slaughter abroad
