In this episode, Lindsey speaks with alopecia therapist and coach Alison Mann. Alison has had alopecia since she was very young and is thus a great help to those with alopecia as well as to parents supporting children with alopecia. In addition to discussing her hair loss journey as well as therapy, the ladies also discussed Alison's pursuit of gymnastics from an early age. She opened up about leaving the gymnastics world and how she had to meet her alopecia head on when she finally shed that identity. Alison lost so many friends when she made the brave decision to leave the gymnastics world behind, but what she gained? You’re going to have to listen to find out more.

In this episode, Lindsey talks alopecia and parenthood with Ashley Kaplan. Like Lindsey, Ashley was diagnosed with alopecia at age 2. She takes us through her own childhood journey that ultimately brought her to wearing wigs. For awhile, they had to be the same cut and color every single year when she’d get them prepped for school. Falling in love with her now husband and giving birth to her daughter really informed how she views her alopecia these days. Ashley has great insights and fun stories about meeting her husband in college and being a bald badass mom of two. She addressed what it’s really like to be a parent with alopecia and shared some great tips for dating and wearing wigs.

In this episode, Lindsey sits down with Kalayna Walker. Kalayna is a former NBA dancer, a published author and a senior at LSU. At age 7, she lost all of her hair. Her mom started making her customized wigs–wigs she agonized over keeping secure at sleepovers with her dance team, while she slept, dancing on the court at an NBA game, in the shower. She kept her baldness a secret for 13 years–all the way up until last year. Lindsey and Kalayna talk about what changed, the unexpected reaction she got when she went to class bald for the first time in her life, telling her friends about her alopecia and of course, how it all led to her now speaking publicly about her journey and even starting her own youth mentorship program.

Lindsey is throwing it back this week to her time in Chicago this past June at the 40th annual NAAF conference. In honor of the milestone, she spoke with a number of attendees–returners, first timers and some previous VNA guests–about what this one weekend a year means to them. Next year’s NAAF conference will take place June 25, 26, 27 and 28 in Orlando, Florida.

Lindsey has conducted a lot of interviews throughout her career, but this interview might be her favorite of all time. Nope, it wasn’t conducted at her apartment or even on a fancy red carpet. Today’s guests are Linda and Charlie, a couple Lindsey met at the Chicago NAAF conference back in June at a hotel bar. Ordering French 75s turned into them opening up about their love story; Linda has alopecia, and Lindsey was so energized and inspired by their tale of love and fresh takes on dating today. Love is something we all crave, and having hair loss can complicate our self-confidence when it comes to seeking out relationships. So here it is: Linda and Charlie: A Love Story.

In this episode, Lindsey is in-person with Chicago native Keya Trammell in New York. Keya is a singer, actress, makeup artist and alopecia areata advocate. She and Lindsey were both diagnosed at age 2. The ladies get super vulnerable about the condition's ups and downs and discuss how the arts has been healing to them both. Of course, they talked about dating, how much they love Beyoncé AND Keya's upcoming album.

It is officially September, which means it’s Alopecia Awareness Month, and the first guest Lindsey is kicking it off with is very special. You definitely saw Rosemary Osondu doing hair on the now Emmy-nominated docuseries, America’s Sweethearts, which has been renewed for a third season. Growing up, she enjoyed watching her mother style hair for her and her siblings. Hair was always a passion of Rosemary’s but as part of a Nigerian family full of medical professionals, she started out on a path to pursue nursing, doing hair as a “side” business in college. Now, she is a hair stylist and the business owner, having had power players like Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams, ABC Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay and of course, former VNA guest and DCC squad member Armani Latimer sit in her chair.

Lindsey and Rosemary discuss finding the confidence to bring her “side” hustle front and center and ultimately opening Rose Style Studio. Plus, Rosemary opens up about how the opportunity to partner with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders came across her desk.

In this episode, Lindsey meets the inspirational Armani Latimer in-person at the 40th annual National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF) conference. The former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader takes us through the past few months since dancing bald at a Monday night football game in a stadium of 80,000 to then sharing her story in season two of the hit Netflix docuseries America's Sweethearts. She also takes Lindsey through securing better compensation for future Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. The ladies also discuss Armani attending her first-ever NAAF conference, teaching the kids camp a dance, getting recognized at the Chicago airport (and elsewhere!), rocking her baldness out and about and even how she keeps her brows and lashes looking fierce.
