There are many unscrupulous individuals using today’stechnology to scam innocent people out of their resources. If you fell victim to one of these predators, please do not feel shamed. Do not feel ashamed for the ills inflicted on you by others. You did not request it. You did not initiate it. Then why are you internalizing other people’s shame? It is their ill thoughts that commit this shame. Do not take on the responsibility of other people’s shame. Tell the world what they did, for the power in any struggle is secrecy. When we hide from the ills inflicted on us, we cannot heal. Share yourstory, then forgive yourself. Forgiveness is a process. Start the process today. James tells us: Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

After calling his twelve disciples to him Jesus gavethem authority to cast out demons. However, when they came to the crowd, a man approached Jesus and knelt before him. "Lord, have mercy on my son," he said. "He has seizuresand is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him." "O unbelieving and perverse generation," Jesus replied, "how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me." Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed from that moment. Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, "Why couldn't we drive it out?"

In Acts we see the angel answered Cornelius and said: "Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter. He is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea." When the angel who spoke to him had gone, Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier who was one of his attendants. He told them everything that had happened and sent them to Joppa.

In scripture we see Philip saying to the Lord: "Lord, show us the father and that will be enough for us." Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the father. How can you say, 'Show us the father'? Don't you believe that I am in the father, and that the father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the father, living in me, who is doing his work. Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.

In John 5 we see Jesus saying to his disciples: I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. In essence they are hearing from within. He went on to say; For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself. He told them not to be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come out — those who have done good will rise to live, and those who have done evil will rise to be condemned. By himself He can do nothing, He judge only as He hear, and His judgment is just, for He seek not to please himself but him who sent Him.

In John, we see Jesus talking to the disciples saying: Now you are speaking clearly and without figures of speech. Now we can see that you know all things and that you do not even need to have anyone ask you questions. This makes us believe that you came from God.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. You were running a good race. Who cut in on you and kept you from obeying the truth? That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you. I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion will pay the penalty, whoever he may be.

In Psalms 107: we see a people who were hungry and thirsty, with their lives diminished away. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. However, in that same scripture we see somepeople sat in darkness with the deepest gloom, prisoners suffering in iron chains. They are suffering in prison of their own making, even though, God does not abandon us. He gave this assurance in Isaiah 61: 1-3 God proclaim freedomfor the captives and release them from darkness.
