This is one of the most important podcasts that AWWWP has published. Mike Towry, one of the original founders of San Diego Comic Con is our guest for a multi-part show. The story of how a 15 year old kid helped start an event that would become so huge, it would touch all parts of our lives.
There is no book on Comic Com and its origins. Here them here for the first time. There are other involved with the beginnings of Comic Con, but we will focus on these three: Mike Towry, Richard Alf and Shel Dorf. Shel was the original inspiration for Comic Con.
How did this come about? You will learn first hand from Mike! And you will be introduced to other characters, such as Captain Burger! See what part he played in all of this!
Our job is to bring you the Disney stories you have never heard before. You will never hear Mike's story anywhere else the way it is present here. And what does this have to do with Disney? Well, we think that is rather obvious!
