War. What is it good for? The answer is, of course, simple: it's good for oppressing people who make war. That's the thing it's good for and that's about it. Today, we learn about the final treaties foisted on the Ute peoples at gunpoint, the tortured math an Imperialist calls "good enough," and the similarities to things happening today.

On that note! We recorded this, like, 4 months before release, so when we're talking about Venezuela, we hadn't even recorded our Venezuela Special Report yet! None of the stuff had happened. Though I'd like to think we did a decent job of looking at the world and going, "hmm. Trouble a-brewin'..."

And last, our next book starts next week, so let's get prepared to read that sucker! We're going to be reading The History of White People by Nell Irvin Painter. It's a book all about class as color in Western history and the multi-millennia parade of dipwads that brought us to where we are today! Strap in, because everyone's gonna be a PhD race scientist by the time we're done.
