Have you ever tried running a long race completely on your own, only to realize how much easier the journey becomes when someone is running beside you?

In this opening sermon of our new series, Side by Side, we explore why the Christian faith was always meant to be shared, never lived in isolation. While our faith in Jesus is deeply personal, scripture shows us that it was never intended to be private. Drawing from Romans 12 and Acts 2, we are reminded that as believers, we are not merely individuals sitting in the same room. We are one body in Christ, and each member belongs to all the others.

Christian community is a gift created by Jesus to help us endure, grow, and thrive. From gathered Sunday worship to small group fellowship in homes, engaging with other believers provides the spiritual strength, encouragement, and accountability we need for the long race ahead.

Are you attempting to walk out your faith alone, or are you fully engaged with the body of Christ? Take time this week to reflect on where God is calling you to step into deeper community, share your burdens, and run side by side with others.

  • Who Do You Say I Am - 8-23-26
    2026/08/27
Have you ever relied on other people to define your faith, or have you personally answered the question of who Jesus is to you?

In this moving message, we explore Matthew 16, where Jesus asks His disciples a deeply personal question: Who do you say that I am? There is a profound difference between knowing what others say about Jesus and experiencing Him for yourself. Just like the disciples who walked, ate, and prayed alongside Christ, our understanding deepens when we spend intentional time in His presence.

Through daily spiritual disciplines like prayer and scripture reading, as well as gathered worship and authentic community, our lives are transformed by His grace. As we allow His character to take shape within us, we become living witnesses, reflecting His love, patience, and truth to the world around us. We do not carry the burden of saving anyone, because God alone reveals and transforms. Our calling is simply to keep showing up, seeking Him daily, and pointing others toward the Savior.

Take time this week to reflect on your daily rhythms. How is your personal time with Jesus changing the way you live and love others?

  • Grafted In - 8-16-26
    2026/08/18
Have you ever felt like you were crying out in prayer, only to be met with complete silence?

It can feel as if heaven is quiet during our deepest trials, but silence is not absence. In this powerful message, we explore the story of the Canaanite woman from Matthew chapter fifteen who refused to give up, even when it seemed like her requests were being ignored. Her persistence reveals that when our faith is tested, it is actually being strengthened. When we face overwhelming challenges, carrying a desperate need requires us to step past our own pride and move into genuine worship. Real faith recognizes who God is even when circumstances feel uncertain.

No matter what situation you are facing right now, remember that God hears the cries of those who seek him with a sincere heart. Even in seasons of silence, he is working behind the scenes on your behalf. What area of your life needs a breakthrough today? Take a moment to bring your heavy burdens to him, trust his perfect timing, and stand firm in the promise that nothing is impossible with God.
