The letter entitled 2nd John carries a very personal tone as "the Elder" writes to a woman that he clearly knows quite well and thinks highly of. He is concerned with the potential influence of those who are opposed to the truth and love that defines a christian.

Jeremy begins the first New Testament story of the Preaching Through the Bible Series, looking at the birth and early life of Jesus! We are going to spend some time this month studying the shortest books of the New Testament - the four one-chapter letters of Philemon, 2 John, 3 John and Jude.

This week is all about Philemon; a short, personal letter, written by Paul to a dear friend of his named Philemon. The letter addresses what could be a sensitive topic between the two of them but Paul respects and trusts Philemon enough to be confident that it will be well-received.
