このコンテンツについて

Toward the Lord” is a faith centered podcast grounded in humility, testimony, and the enduring truth that God uses ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary works. The podcast is hosted by Peter Goldsberry, known as the Chief Baggage Handler, a man who has spent many years sharing the Word of God with sincerity and devotion. Peter openly acknowledges that he has sinned and has fallen short of the glory of God. Yet he continues to begin each day in prayer and commits himself to doing the work God places before him. Married for thirty three years to his high school sweetheart and a father of two, he gives full credit to the Lord for every blessing in his life. His family, career, friendships, and countless opportunities have all been shaped by the grace of God. Peter’s professional journey has taken him from the food manufacturing industry to serving as a Senior Vice President in the National Basketball Association. It was during this transition, in a new state and a new city, that God stirred his heart with a powerful message. Everything must be done for the glory of the Lord. In that moment, God began to inspire ideas and create paths that could only come from Him. Within a short time, God used Peter to create Faith and Family Nights and Book Mobiles for children in a community that deeply needed hope and support. Peter realized he had become part of what he fondly calls God’s starting five. These initiatives were made possible through the support of the American Bible Society, Moody Bible Institute, Word Records, and an NBA owner who shared the Christian faith. More than ten thousand Psalm Books were distributed to attendees, and representatives from the American Bible Society greeted families and fans throughout the concourse. Word Records, part of Warner Records, provided leading Contemporary Christian artists for halftime and post game performances. Peter’s ministry efforts led to invitations to appear on “More Than Conquerors” on the Trinity Broadcast Network with Chris Paul and Coach Byron Scott. He was also invited to the Dove Awards and to the Moody Bible Institute, further affirming the reach of God’s work in his life. “Toward the Lord” brings these experiences and lessons directly to listeners. Each episode encourages believers to walk in faith, serve others with humility, and recognize God’s presence in every season of life. Whether you are seeking inspiration, spiritual strength, or evidence that God continues to move in powerful ways, this podcast will remind you that when we turn toward the Lord, He guides us with purpose and grace.2025 キリスト教 スピリチュアリティ 聖職・福音主義

Finding Strength Through Christ: A Reflection on Philippians 4:13
Getting All Aboard with the Lord with Peter Goldsberry In this uplifting episode of “Getting All Aboard with the Lord,” Peter Goldsberry explores the deeper meaning of Philippians 4:13, which reads, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Through Scripture, personal stories, and practical instruction, Peter teaches how believers can find peace, courage, contentment, and resilience in Christ in every season of life. Peter, known as the Chief Baggage Handler, invites listeners to drop their emotional burdens and open their hearts to the sustaining power of Jesus Christ. He explains that Philippians 4:13 is one of the most quoted verses in the Bible, yet often one of the most misunderstood. It is not meant as a slogan for achievement or a guarantee of worldly success. Rather, it is a declaration of spiritual endurance. Peter reminds listeners that the Apostle Paul wrote this verse while imprisoned, facing physical discomfort, uncertainty, and the possibility of execution. Paul was not celebrating victory. He was persevering with faith. His words reveal a profound truth about Christian life: contentment does not come from circumstances. It comes from Christ. Throughout the episode, Peter breaks down how believers today can apply this Scripture to their own challenges. Whether someone is facing worry, hardship, disappointment, or spiritual exhaustion, the strength of Christ remains constant and available. Peter encourages listeners to lean on prayer, trust the promises of God, and walk forward with confidence that does not come from self, but from the Savior. This episode offers encouragement, biblical clarity, and a heartfelt reminder that true strength is found only in Christ. When we depend on Him, we can endure every trial, every burden, and every season with peace and purpose.
