  • Biblical Perspective | Is Depression Actually a Sign of Weak Faith?
    2026/02/20

Have you ever been told that depression is a sign of a weak spiritual foundation? In this episode, we're addressing harmful teaching that's causing real damage to women who are already hurting.

Through Scripture and neuroscience, you'll discover what the Bible actually reveals about suffering and spiritual maturity—and it's very different from what you may have been told. You'll hear why David, Elijah, Jeremiah, and Job all experienced profound emotional anguish, and how God responded with compassion, not condemnation.

We'll talk about how trauma, perimenopause, postpartum shifts, and brain chemistry affect depression, reminding you that seeking therapy, medication, or medical care is not spiritual failure.

This conversation will help you replace shame with truth and reclaim your identity as God's beloved masterpiece.

  • You’re Not Ungifted: How to Discover Your God-Given Gifts
    2026/02/16

Ever felt like everyone else got gifts and you got nothing? Like God handed out talents and somehow missed you? You're not alone—and more importantly, you're not right.

In this episode, we tackle the devastating lie that whispers "I'm not gifted" and replace it with biblical truth: 1 Peter 4:10 says EACH of you has received gifts. Not some. Each.

Discover why you can't see your own abilities (even though others can), what Moses, Gideon, and Jeremiah teach us about feeling unqualified, and three practical questions to help you recognize what God already placed inside you.

If you've been watching other women use their gifts while believing you have nothing to offer, this episode will show you why that's a lie—and how to start seeing yourself the way God sees you.

This is the first in a four-part Intellectual Fitness series on discovering and stewarding your God-given design. One truth at a time, one step at a time.

    THIS WEEK'S REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

Question 1: What are your '911' calls about? When people are in crisis, why do they call YOU? Be honest—not what you wish they'd call for, but what they actually seek you out for. This reveals how God is already using you.

Question 2: What feels effortless to you but seems hard for others? What comes so naturally that you dismiss it as "not special?" Maybe you naturally see solutions, notice when someone's hurting, create order from chaos, or words flow when explaining things. Whatever feels easy to you but others struggle with—that's likely a gift.

Question 3: When do you lose track of time? When are you so engaged in creating, helping, or solving that you forget your phone exists? That deep engagement isn't accidental—it's your design lighting up.

Also: Ask your circle: "What do you see as my strengths? When have you seen me most alive?"

  • How Body Obsession Hurts Your Relationships
    2026/02/02

Body obsession doesn't just affect you—it affects everyone around you.

In this powerful conclusion to our 3-part Body Stewardship series, we explore the relational cost of body shame: the photos you avoid, the zoom-in ritual that steals presence, and the memories your loved ones won't have because you chose to hide.

Using the SWOP framework (Surrender, Wisdom, Obedience, Promises), we expose how body monitoring is spiritual warfare designed to keep you in perpetual "repair mode"—sidelined from connection, community, and calling.

You'll discover why the "spotlight effect" keeps you self-conscious, how to replace comparison with curiosity, and what God promises when you choose presence over perfection.

If you've ever refused to be in a photo, deleted the "imperfect" ones, or delayed showing up until you felt "ready," this episode offers a biblical way forward—one rooted in grace, not grinding. Your people need you in the memory, not hiding behind the camera.

If this series has resonated with you—and you're realizing there's deeper identity work to do—I want to invite you to check out the SWOP Reset Mini-Course.

    https://wilmamostert.com/swop/

It's a 5-day guided journey through the full SWOP framework—Surrender, Wisdom, Obedience, and Promises.

It's not behavior modification. It's inner discipleship designed to release the pressure to be perfect and good enough. You can find the link in the show notes.

  • Your Body Is a Temple, Not a Project: Biblical Stewardship
    2026/01/30

This is Part 2 of a 3-part series. Join us Monday for Part 3.

"Have you ever believed that being a 'good steward' means white-knuckling every outcome? I lived that way for years, thinking my discipline was devotion—until God gently showed me it was actually fear wearing a Christian T-shirt.

We call it 'fasting for breakthrough,' but if we’re honest, sometimes we’re just fasting to fix ourselves. Here is the truth your soul needs to hear: Your body is a temple to be honored, not a project to be solved.

You don’t earn God’s presence through physical perfection; you honor His dwelling place through care. It’s time to trade the exhaustion of control for the peace of stewardship."

In this episode, we peel back the layers on a struggle many Christian women face in silence: control disguised as obedience. If you have ever used spiritual disciplines like fasting to manage your weight, or if you feel like your body is a grade you are constantly failing, this conversation is for you.

We explore the profound shift from viewing your body as a "project" to be fixed to a "temple" (the naos, or inner sanctuary) to be honored. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 6 and personal stories of surrender, we discuss how true stewardship is rooted in trust, while control is often a form of self-reliance.

You will learn to identify "ANTs" (Automatic Negative Thoughts) that fuel body-shame and discover how to align your physical care with your settled identity in Christ. This episode offers a biblical way forward—one small step at a time.

  • "I’ll Be Happy When I Lose Weight" — Why This Lie Keeps Christian Women Stuck
    2026/01/28

What if the problem isn’t your body—but the story you’ve been telling yourself about it?

In this first episode of the Physical Fitness series on Total Fitness God’s Way, Wilma gently but directly addresses a lie many Christian women carry: “I’ll be happy when I lose weight.”

Drawing from both biblical truth and psychological insight, she unpacks why happiness tied to outcomes never lasts, how control often masquerades as obedience, and why your body was never meant to be a grade you pass—but a gift you steward.

    You’ll learn how to:

    • Identify the Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANTs) driving body shame and control

    • Understand why monitoring, restriction, and rigid rules increase dissatisfaction

    • Reframe physical fitness through Scripture as nourishment, care, and stewardship

    • Practice obedience that flows from identity, not fear or willpower

Rooted in Colossians 3:3 and Ephesians 5:29, this episode invites you to step off the hedonic treadmill and into freedom—where your worth is secure, your body is honored, and your obedience flows from love.

If you’ve ever believed your happiness lives at a number on a scale, this conversation will meet you with truth, compassion, and a better way forward.

This is Part 1 of a 3-part series. Join us Friday for Part 2: "Your Body Is a Temple, Not a Project," where we explore how control masquerades as obedience and why surrender is the most faithful thing you can do.

  • How To Break Free From Performance-Based Faith This Year
    2026/01/26

Are you exhausted from trying to be "good enough" for God? Do you feel guilty when you miss your quiet time, believing your worth is tied to your spiritual consistency?

In this episode, Wilma dismantles the lie of performance-based faith using the SWOP framework. Discover the biblical difference between living as a slave (working FOR approval) and living as a daughter (working FROM acceptance).

    You'll learn:

✓ Why God desires a relationship over ritual. (Hosea 6:6)

✓ What Scripture really says about being God’s child—not His slave. (Galatians 4:6–7)

✓ How to reframe quiet time as an invitation, not an obligation.

✓ Why quality matters more than quantity when it comes to Scripture.

✓ Practical steps to replace guilt with grace.

This isn't about doing less—it's about believing differently. When you understand you're already loved, already accepted, and already enough, everything changes.
