  • Which Table Will You Choose? – Proverbs 9
    2026/09/01

In Proverbs 9, two voices offer two invitations, and every person must decide which one to follow. In this message, Pastor Tim brings the opening section of Proverbs to its conclusion by contrasting the table of wisdom with the table of folly and asking a personal question: Which table will you choose?

Wisdom invites us to a life of stability, strength, satisfaction, and ultimately life itself. Pastor Tim challenges the lie that following God means missing out on something better, showing instead that a life built upon Jesus Christ and lived in submission to God's Word can remain steadfast through the storms of life.

Folly offers an invitation of her own. Her promises may sound appealing, but her path leads to destruction, death, and ultimately separation from God. The choices we make today have destinations, and wisdom requires us to consider where the road we're traveling will eventually lead.

Pastor Tim also examines one of the clearest marks of a wise person: teachability. How we respond to correction reveals much about which voice we're following. The wise receive instruction and grow from it, while the foolish resist correction and continue down the wrong path.

Two voices. Two tables. Two destinations. This message challenges each of us to forsake foolishness, listen to the voice of God's wisdom, and choose the path that leads to life.

  • Wisdom Is the Way of Life – Proverbs 8:22–36
    2026/08/25

In a world filled with competing voices, opinions, and ideas about how life should be lived, which voice should we trust? In this message from Proverbs 8, Pastor Tim explains why God's wisdom deserves our complete confidence: the God who designed life knows the wisest way to live it.

Walking through the second half of Proverbs 8, Pastor Tim examines wisdom's presence, wisdom's pleasure, and wisdom's promise. God's wisdom is not trendy or temporary, it is timeless. The order and design seen throughout creation remind us that God is the Author of life, and therefore His Word, not culture, personal feelings, or popular opinion, has the authority to define how life should be lived.

This message also challenges the idea that God's boundaries are meant to restrict us. Instead, His commands are given for our protection and good. Following God's wisdom leads to blessing and life, while rejecting His design ultimately brings pain, burdens, and destruction.

Ultimately, our greatest need is not simply to make wiser decisions, but to know Jesus Christ. Pastor Tim points listeners to the Savior and challenges believers to trust God's wisdom when it contradicts the culture, when obedience is difficult, and even when we don't fully understand, because God's way is safe, wise, and best.

  • The Voice and Value of Wisdom – Proverbs 8:1–21
    2026/08/18

In this message from Proverbs 8, Pastor Tim examines the voice of wisdom and why biblical wisdom should be valued above anything this world can offer.

As Solomon personifies wisdom calling out to all who will listen, Pastor Tim explains that the question is not whether wisdom is speaking, but whether we are listening. In a world filled with competing voices, opinions, and distractions, God's Word provides the truth and direction needed to live skillfully according to His design.

This message explores three important truths: wisdom's voice is pleading, wisdom's value is priceless, and wisdom must be pursued. More valuable than silver, gold, possessions, or success, God's wisdom protects our lives, shapes our decisions, teaches us to love what God loves and hate what He hates, and leads us down the right path.

Pastor Tim also gives practical instruction for pursuing wisdom through Scripture, prayer, and godly counsel. Ultimately, however, this message reminds us that our greatest need is not simply to become wiser, it is to know and pursue Jesus Christ, the ultimate source of true wisdom.
