Ryan, David, and Zack welcome a true legend of Third Earth to Radical Retro Rewind as ThunderCats writer, story editor, and showrunner Peter Lawrence joins the show for an unforgettable conversation celebrating the original 1985 series.

Born in Central Africa and later building a career in television, film, and publishing, Peter Lawrence helped shape the mythology and spirit of ThunderCats as script editor and writer for Rankin/Bass. His work also includes SilverHawks, Peter Pan and the Pirates, The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest, and numerous novels and children’s books.

From the early days of ThunderCats to the mythology, characters, behind the scenes stories, and what the series has meant to generations of fans, Peter shares memories and reflections from one of animation’s most beloved adventures. We also bring along questions from fellow Bunglers around the world and go beyond the Book of Omens for a heartfelt celebration of the legacy of ThunderCats.

And yes… some very important questions are finally discussed. Was Vultureman secretly in the closet? Why did the Sword of Plun-Darr suddenly disappear? And whose idea was it to reveal that Jaga was responsible for the destruction of Thundera?!
