概要
In this episode, we catch up with two members from the Thistles Ladies Hockey Club Ipswich — one of the longest running clubs in the local competition and a proud part of the Ipswich sporting community.
Joining us are Emily Witheyman, better known around the club as “Crumpy,” and Caroline Rowe — and during the conversation you’ll also find out Caroline’s club nickname!
The Thistles Ladies Hockey Club, established in 1938, has a long tradition of bringing players together and supporting women’s and junior hockey across the region.
In this interview we chat about:
- The history and legacy of the club
- What makes the Thistles community so special
- Opportunities for women and junior players to get involved
- The club’s Hookin2Hockey program for younger players
- Why local community sport continues to thrive in Ipswich
It’s a great conversation about community, grassroots sport, and the people who keep local clubs going strong.
