God Remembers Covenant: a 1607 prayer at Cape Henry, Acts 17, and Harriet Tubman reveal a God who still keeps His promises to America.

Reflecting on Independence Day and America's 250th year, Yvonne Hicks asks why God has blessed America so mightily. Her answer is covenant. She shares the God story of Reverend Robert Hunt, who landed at Cape Henry, Virginia in 1607, prayed a Covenant of Dedication over the new land, and died a year later at 39 without ever seeing his family again.

Walking that same coastline years later, Yvonne found Acts 17 come alive: God sets the appointed times and boundaries of every nation so people would seek Him. She traces a redemptive thread from the inlet where a 1619 slave ship arrived off course, to the Union ships that later launched from it to free the enslaved, to Harriet Tubman's mission along that coast. One God, one covenant, one purpose across every generation.

Yvonne reads the Covenant of Dedication, then points ahead to the threads still to connect: the Moravians of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the Waldensians off I-40 in North Carolina, and the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. Nothing is ever lost in the Lord. He remembers covenant.
