    In 1966, Braves' pitcher Tony Cloninger hit two grand slams in a 17-3 win. It's the only time that a pitcher has hit a pair grand slams.

    In 1968, the NFL players went on strike for the first time. It led to the first collective bargaining agreement.

    In 2001, the Vancouver Grizzlies announced they were moving to Memphis.
