After Terrie-Ann Dauphinais was killed in 2002 at her home in Calgary, her husband was eventually charged, but never convicted.

Six years later, a woman told Saskatoon police her then-boyfriend Ken Dauphinais had choked and sexually assaulted her. She didn't want charges laid at the time.

Then, Ken revealed details to a tattoo artist in a sting operation in 2017.

Ken Dauphinais is now serving a four and a half year sentence for the sexual assault. This episode is one of the only times his ex-girlfriend has ever spoken publicly. We look at what it took to convict him, and what this means for the victims of intimate partner violence.
