The two witness rule did the damage: elders demanded two eyewitnesses to an act nobody witnesses, the Old Testament passage it came from explicitly excluded gross criminal conduct, and the 1990s loosening to two victims of separate events still let accused abusers relocate to a new congregation with a clean slate. Court records exposed the blue folder holding roughly 25,000 names. The same elders manual that forbade reporting abuse to police for about 60 years, until the policy shifted around 2019, instructed congregations to build friendly relationships with those very police for fires, burglaries and harassment — the contradiction names the motive, which was protecting Jehovah's name from reproach. Jackson's talk answers all of it by comparing the organization to Jesus before a Roman judge who caved to political pressure, illustrated with a cartoon soccer bribe. The Pennsylvania announcement destroys that framing: every defendant and every victim came from the same religious organization, and some defendants used their faith communities to reach the children they targeted. The second half runs the 1948 Army Signal Corps film Don't Be a Sucker, which watched a Nazi speaker split five Germans into rival groups, traced Hunts from master-race flattery to a patch of Normandy, and warned that America is minorities — an argument Hitler's race horse theory, endorsed today by Trump, still contradicts.
