In honor of Juneteenth, I reflects on my past trip to Mississippi, where I visited family, explored the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum, and participated in the celebration of civil rights leader Medgar Evers' 100th birthday alongside members of the Evers family, including her Aunt Reena Evers-Evette.
