- At 10:31 PM Gina texted “made it to my car, safe”; her last confirmed cell ping placed her two miles south of the depot around 11:00 PM.
- Terry Novak called at 10:55 PM claiming a fuel-line failure and got approval to leave his truck overnight on the south access road; no mechanic or repair record followed.
- Novak badged through Gate Three at 11:18 PM, inside the medical examiner’s estimated time of death window of 10:30-11:45 PM.
- Freight Car NM-3841 had been sealed Aug 11, was checked Aug 15 at 6:00 PM, and was re-sealed at 11:22 PM the same night Novak entered the yard.
