Expression is something we all value. The freedom to choose, to create, to live life in a way that feels true to us. And when it comes to God, there are so many mixed ideas about whether He limits that freedom or gives room for it.

But what if we’ve misunderstood it from the beginning?

There is something about rules that most of us instinctively resist. From when we are young, being told what to do can feel like being put into a box. Control is something we naturally hold onto. We like to believe our lives are ours to direct, that we should be the ones deciding the pace, the path, and even the lessons we learn along the way.

Community is rarely as simple as we imagine.
