(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson and Timothy Reed Kenyan Somalis killed 7 Kenyan Christian farmers On April 25th, International Christian Concern reports that Muslim Somali herders killed seven Christian farmers in Kitui County, Kenya in a raid. The raiders left behind burned homes, scattered belongings, and families struggling to come to terms with the loss. Local church leaders said many of the affected families are now dealing with loss on multiple levels, including loved ones, homes, and livelihoods. Remember Jesus’s words in Revelation 2:10. He said, “Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.” War with Iran has cost America $70 billion The cost of war in Iran continues to rise. The Trump administration announced that the war has cost $25 billion, but that does not include the cost to rebuild destroyed military bases in the Middle East. The Iran War Cost Tracker has the cost of the war pegged at more than $70 billion. That is more than $1 billion dollars a day. Trump removed 300,000 illegals from Social Security rolls The Trump administration is working to reform Social Security by removing illegal aliens off the rolls. Listen to President Trump’s latest comments on his protection of Social Security. TRUMP: “Together with the Republicans in Congress, we've removed nearly 300,000 illegal aliens from the Social Security roles. (applause and cheers) And we've removed more than 100,000 migrants from Medicare eligibility: 100,000 and the number is going up. “What we're really doing is saving Social Security because it was so rife with fraud.” Supreme Court rules against race-based Congressional districts In a blockbuster decision, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 against apportioning congressional districts by race, effectively neutering a portion of the federal Voting Rights Act of 1965. Following the decision, a flurry of Republican states, including Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida began working towards redistricting in favor of Republicans. However, Democrats are planning their own redistricting efforts, as both parties remain deadlocked in midterm election jockeying. Supreme Court temporarily allows mail-order abortion drugs In other Supreme Court headlines, it issued an administrative stay on Monday of a lower court ruling, which would have put a stop to the mail order program for the Abortion Kill Pill. The administrative order will hold for a week, while the court gives the Food and Drug Administration opportunity to respond. U.S. public school enrollment is down Public school enrollment is down in the United States — a 900,000-person drop over the last decade. During the same period, Edunomics Lab reports that staffing has actually increased by about the same amount -- 700,000 people or about 12%, ironically. The government school monopoly spends $1 trillion per year on their program, averaging $17,000 per student. Per student costs, adjusted for inflation, have doubled since 1980. $17,000 cost-per-public schooler vs. $1,600 per homeschooler The Homeschool Legal Defense Association surveyed 4,000 homeschool families and found the per-child costs for homeschooling an elementary school student runs around $1,300, and $1,600 for a middle and high school student. That means a family with five children saves the state $85,000 per year in education costs, and then, spends $7,000 of their own money doing it. America’s property tax revolt There is somewhat of a property tax revolt going on across the country. Florida lawmakers are proposing an end to local government property tax. Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott has suggested something similar. And the states of Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, and Wyoming have other initiatives in process to reform property tax in favor of the taxpayers. 1 Samuel 8 speaks of this tyranny: “[Samuel] said, ‘This will be the behavior of the king who will reign over you: He will take your sons. … He will take your daughters. … He will take a tenth of your grain and your vintage. … And you will cry out in that day because of your king whom you have chosen for yourselves, and the Lord will not hear you in that day.” Gas prices have doubled since February U.S. gas prices have almost doubled since late February. Now the average price sits at $4.46 per gallon, up from $2.84 a gallon just two months ago. Idaho requires teachers/doctors to tell parents if child has gender issues The state of Idaho passed a bill that requires teachers and doctors to tell parents if their child is experiencing gender dysphoria. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Christians in Afghanistan have to remain invisible to survive Being known as a Christian in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan brings lethal danger. In this country of 44 million people, Muslims comprise more than 99.7% of the population, reports International Christian Concern. Not long after the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan in August 2021, they declared that no Christians were remaining in the country. Though the Taliban claimed no Christians remained, Christians still exist—surviving only by remaining invisible. The Taliban reportedly searched door to door and through smartphones, hunting for any signs of Christian conversion. This reality highlights the core argument: Afghan Christians must stay hidden to survive. The situation also became highly precarious for other religious minorities, including Sikhs, Hindus, and the country’s last Jewish resident. According to Open Doors, Afghanistan is the 11th most dangerous country for Christians worldwide. In John 15:19, Jesus said to His disciples, “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.” Trump withdraws 5,000 troops from Germany The United States will withdraw 5,000 troops from Germany in the next six to 12 months, the Pentagon said Friday, fulfilling President Donald Trump's threat as he clashes with the German leader over the U.S. war with Iran, reports the Associated Press. Trump had threatened to withdraw some troops from the NATO ally earlier this week after German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said the U.S. was being “humiliated” by the Iranian leadership and criticized Washington’s lack of strategy in the war. Germany hosts several U.S. military facilities, including the headquarters of its European and Africa commands, Ramstein Air Base and a medical center in Landstuhl, where casualties from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were treated. U.S. nuclear missiles are also stationed in the country. The number of troops leaving Germany would be 14% of the 36,000 American service members stationed there. News of the troop withdrawal drew swift pushback from Democrats in Congress as well as a hawkish Washington think tank. They said the move will benefit Russian President Vladimir Putin and weaken U.S. security interests. Bradley Bowman, a scholar at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said the U.S. military's presence in Germany and elsewhere in Europe “not only strengthens deterrence against additional Kremlin aggression but also facilitates the projection of American military power into the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Africa.” Federal appeals court blocks mail-order abortion pills Ready for some great pro-life news? On May 1st, a federal court issued a ruling that temporarily blocked the ability to send the Abortion Kill Pill by mail. Of American mothers who abort, 63% choose to use abortion drugs. If ultimately upheld, this decision could save tens of thousands of babies from abortions, reports LifeNews.com. A panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans temporarily blocked a Biden administration rule allowing the abortion drug, mifepristone, to be dispensed through the mail. Marjorie Dannenfelser, the president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, called the ruling “a huge victory for victims and survivors of Biden’s reckless mail-order abortion drug regime. We are so grateful for the tenacity of [Louisiana] Attorney General Liz Murrill, abortion drug coercion survivor Rosalie Markezich, and all our allies demanding action. “Women and children suffer and state sovereignty is violated every day the Food and Drug Administration allows abortion drugs to flood the mail – harms that are no mere accident, but predictable outcomes of the FDA’s unscientific removal of safeguards like in-person doctor visits.” Republican State candidate found dead An investigation is underway into the death of a Republican state Senate candidate in Oklahoma who was found dead in his pickup truck on April 30th in a wildlife refuge, reports The Western Journal. Barry Christian, a candidate for state Senate District 38, had disappeared on April 28th, according to KOCO-TV. The Beckham County Sheriff’s Office said a hunter reported to authorities that he had seen the wreck of a pickup truck that appeared to have crashed off a high ridge. 149th anniversary of God's locust miracle in Minnesota And finally, from 1873 to 1877, grasshoppers, also known as locusts, destroyed hundreds of thousands of acres of crops in Minnesota, leaving eggs in the soil for the next season. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus United Nations urges Pakistan to ban forced conversions and marriages On April 22nd, a United Nations-appointed body urged Pakistan to intensify efforts to eradicate Islamic forced conversions and marriages, noting that young Christian girls consistently fall victim to Islamist coercion, reports MorningStarNews.org. To prevent forced conversions and marriages, Pakistan was urged to raise the minimum age of marriage to 18 across all territories, criminalize forced religious conversion, and enforce laws related to human trafficking and sexual violence. Isaiah 59:7 says, “Their feet run to evil. … They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways.” Hegseth to Democrat: “Your hatred for President Trump blinds you.” War Secretary Pete Hegseth delivered a blistering rebuke to Democratic Rep. John Garamendi of California, slamming the congressman for labeling the conflict in Iran a "quagmire" during a heated exchange, reports the New York Post. HEGSETH: "When I said reckless, feckless, and defeatist of congressional Democrats at the beginning that came after watching you say the same thing on CNN this morning: ‘a quagmire.’ “My generation served in a ‘quagmire’ in Iraq and Afghanistan. Years and years of nebulous missions and utopian nation-building that led us to nothing. “The way you stain the troops when you tell them two months in, Congressman, you should know better. Shame on you! Calling this a quagmire two months in. The effort, what they've undertaken, the success on the battlefield that creates strategic opportunities. The courage of a president to confront a nuclear Iran. And you call it a quagmire, handing propaganda to our enemies. “Shame on you for that statement and statements like that are reckless to our troops. Don't say, ‘I support the troops.’ on one hand, and then, a two-month mission is a ‘quagmire.’ Who are you cheering for here? Who you pulling for? “Our troops are doing incredible work. They've done incredible things for the entirety of this mission and achieved incredible battlefield successes. And you sit there, and go on TV for your click bait, about ‘quagmires.’ It undermines the mission. “Your hatred for President Trump blinds you to the truth of the success of this mission and the historic stakes that the President is addressing which the American people support.” GOP Congressman to pro-abort: “What’s your favorite form of abortion?” On April 21st, a judiciary hearing in the House of Representatives grew tense when Republican Congressman Brandon Gill of Texas pressed American University scholar Jessica Waters in graphic detail on which abortion procedure she would list as her favorite, reported FoxNews. Listen. GILL: “You're an advocate for abortion, for abortion policy. What's your favorite type of abortion?” WATERS: “I am an advocate for patients having access to the full realm of reproductive health care.” GILL: “But do you have a preferred method of abortion that you like?” WATERS: “I do not.” GILL: “Let me read through a couple different methods, and I want to get your take on how much you like these. The first type is called a suction abortion. This is when the cervix is dilated and a strong suction, 29 times the power of a household vacuum cleaner, tears the baby's body apart and sucks it through the hose into a container. Do you prefer that method?” WATERS: “I stand by my former testimony.” GILL: “That sounds kind of gross, doesn't it? It sounds pretty gruesome. Do you agree? It does to me.” WATERS: “I stand by, um, how I answered your question fully and accurately.” GILL: “Okay. What about this one? This one is called dilation and curettage. After dilation of the cervix, a sharp, looped knife is inserted into the uterus. The baby's body is cut into pieces and extracted, often by suction. Do you prefer that method?” WATERS: “What I believe we are here to talk about today is the [Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances] Act. We are not here to talk about the legality of …” GILL: “You're a pro-abortion advocate. I'm asking if you prefer the dilation and curettage method.” WATERS: “I am access to reproductive health care advocate.” GILL: “You don't want to talk about abortion itself. Why is that?” WATERS: “I would prefer to talk about the reason that the committee called the hearing.” GILL: “Is it because it's uncomfortable to talk about? It should be uncomfortable.” WATERS: “I would prefer, if you would let me finish my statement, to talk about Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, which is what I was asked to talk about.” GILL: “We’re talking about what that access gets.
