We set out from Central Ridge District Park in Beverly Hills, Florida, onto the Withlacoochee State Trail headed north with RV neighbors who quickly became friends, riding under perfect blue skies as the miles slipped by with easy conversation.Doesn’t food taste better after a good ride? Lunch at Swampy’s on the Rainbow River, complete with herons, egrets, and even an alligator sighting, made the perfect halfway stop. After laughs and an easy 3½-hour adventure, we headed back and it reminded that the best journeys aren’t just about where you go — they’re about who you meet and the memories you make along the way.
