概要

 In this Saturday movie session, David Hoffmeister leads us into a radical experience of presence where the burden of "knowing" is finally laid down. Using a comedic narrative as our backdrop, we explore the liberating realization that we do not need to figure the world out to be safe; in fact, our safety lies in our willingness to be completely clueless, carefree, and therefore cared-for.

The movie's main character shows a playful approach to the “theater” that worldly life appears as, demonstrating the state of mind needed for spiritual awakening - one that doesn't take the world seriously and sees everything as an act or play. When we judge situations or others and believe we know the plot of our lives, we interpret based on past learning and projected meanings, rather than seeing reality as it truly is.

David reminds us that forgiveness involves learning to train the mind not to interpret fear, as fear is an ego belief. The movie then serves as a tool to help us watch the world with calm eyes and trust the present moment, laughing at the world's interpretations and letting life present itself to us as a spontaneous, joyful flow.

These gatherings take place every weekend in February and March 2026 and include teachings, films, music, panel discussions, and live Q&A sessions with David Hoffmeister.
