What if vision is about far more than seeing clearly?
In this archived talk recorded at Ark Books in Santa Fe, I explore a question that has guided my life’s work: Can our eyes become healthier when we change the way we perceive ourselves and the world?
Listening back, I realized these ideas became the foundation for what I now call Perceptual Ecology—the relationship between vision, the nervous system, movement, awareness, nature, and embodiment.
The ancient story of the blind men and the elephant reminds us that each perspective contains a piece of the truth, but no single viewpoint tells the whole story. The same is true for vision.
Whether you’re interested in holistic eye health, neuroplasticity, cataracts, macular degeneration, children’s vision, posture, movement, or simply living with greater presence, I hope this conversation offers a new way of seeing.
I’d love to hear what resonates with you after you listen.
