I have a handful of news stories I've found in the last week, that show us just how cruel governments around the world are becoming with regard to all of these mass migrations that have been taking place for decades now, along with a little history to show that this not a new thing, and offer some practical solutions that we know these governments will never put into practice.

Once again, the United States is at a historical crossroads. Trump and his loyalists are running roughshod across the country still, and the chaos is consuming everything, every day. The news feeds in the U.S. are full of little else but some kind of new Trump attention grabber, from the new concentration camp in the Florida Everglades to this hugely unpopular bill being battled back and forth between the house and the senate.

So come, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit and let me talk to you about some of the things that are going on, and some personal memories of times past about the U.S. military.

I'm back from my long vacation out west, to which, if you're interested in learning about our adventures, read my four travel blogs posted on my Substack page. During my long vacation, I thought some about the future of this show and I decided to redirect the show once again. I want to start focusing on the things that really matter to most folks. Poverty, homelessness, tyranny, how the warming climate is making all of that worse, and what we can try and do about it.

This week, I'm going to try and stay away from Trump’s efforts to become a dictator. There’re enough people jumping into that fray so I don't need to join them. Instead, I'm going to talk some more about ICE and their draconian efforts across the country to snatch up undocumented people everywhere, the great American migration of people on the move across the country for a variety of reasons, the assault on the environment in Trumplandia, and some different news from around the world that might affect people everywhere. These are just little oddities I found outside of the mainstream that might make someone sit up and take notice.

As promised, I have my Canadian friend with me this week to talk about the war in Sudan. I will be bringing you some history as to why this started and where it stands today, and my friend Sam will be talking about the humanitarian crisis all of this has caused. Especially since Trump recently cut out aid money for the NGO's in the area with the closing of USAID.
