A couple of weeks ago, an online friend from northern California wrote a short blog article wondering what north America might look like if the Europeans had never arrived. There was much online speculation about that, and I got the idea to explore that a little bit more. I had asked my friend to collaborate with me on this but, apparently he became distracted with something else, like survival.

So today, I am bringing my take on this, along with some history I dug up from Wikipedia.

Firstly, I want to let everyone know that the experiment of posting one of my fictional Irish stories was a bust. Only a couple people liked it, and I lost two free subscribers over it so I won't be doing that anymore. I'll just save them for my next book.

In the meantime, it's been a busy week across the world. As I promised last week, I'm going to talk about how fresh water across the world is disappearing due to misuse and how this is starting to affect geopolitics.
