The location of the actual ruins of the Tower of Babel, which was named "Etemenanki" when it was built, have been found, 56 miles south of Baghdad, Iraq. It was a Ziggurat, or stepped pyramid built between 3,500 and 3,000 BC, approximately 650 feet tall, was the tallest man made structure until the Eiffel Tower was built.
