  • EP759: Marie Incontrera - How You Know You Have A Real Business
    2026/02/27
"In marketing, the three big pain points are health, wealth and relationships." A real business isn't built on vibes, branding, or a clever bio. It's built the moment someone pays you. That's the line. This episode explores what separates a hobby from a scalable company—and why validation beats perfection every time. If your offer doesn't clearly solve a health, wealth, or relationship problem, it won't move. Visibility isn't about ego. It's about revenue. Marie Incontrera went from earning $15,000 a year as a working musician in New York—yes, even playing Carnegie Hall—to building a thriving visibility and marketing firm now in its tenth year. She started as a virtual assistant, tested offers in real time, and let paying clients shape her services. Today, she places speakers on major stages, drives millions of impressions, and treats visibility as a growth engine. Marie is the founder of Incontrera Consulting and owner of Bestseller on a Weekend, helping entrepreneurs turn ideas into influence—and influence into income. Expert action steps: Schedule daily "CEO Time" for strategic thinking and creative planning. Stay open and available during holidays and downtime—opportunity often appears when others disconnect. Say yes to major opportunities before you feel fully ready—prepare quickly and grow into the stage. • EP758: Building Unicorns - Patrick Sweeney
    2026/02/24

    "The obstacle is the way."

Unicorn companies are billion-dollar companies. They don't scale through hard work alone. They scale because through belief. A powerful mindset.

Most startups stall after traction. Not because the product fails but because alignment fractures. Founders say the same words but mean different things. Meetings drag. Decisions stall. Energy leaks. The companies that break through close the "belief gap" and move faster than fear.

Patrick Sweeney unpacks how neuroscience shapes leadership, conviction, and scale. He shares how overcoming lifelong fear reshaped his own trajectory — from near-death regret to high-performance clarity — and how founders can use shared belief maps, fast decision cycles, and hypothesis testing to eliminate debate paralysis. He explains why most teams suffer from the "illusion of agreement," how decision-making tax slows growth, and why imposter syndrome isn't a weakness — it's common among elite CEOs.

Patrick is a serial entrepreneur with three exits, bestselling author of Fear Is Fuel, and author of The Founder's Creed. His work helps founders align teams, sharpen conviction, and build companies capable of becoming unicorns.

    Expert action steps:

    1. Stay emotionally balanced. Don't overreact to success or setbacks.
    2. Treat obstacles as lessons; adapt your response instead of resisting reality.
    3. Focus your energy on your tribe. Not everyone is wired to like you.
    4. Recognize imposter syndrome as normal; even elite CEOs experience it.

  • EP757: TL Nuggets #227 - A Plea To President Trump
    2026/02/20

"It is an America first action to take out the head of the snake of the Iranian regime."

The current Iranian regime is built on control at home and expansion abroad. It suppresses dissent internally and funds proxy groups and militant networks across the region. Support for terrorism isn't incidental — it's part of its strategy. Power is preserved through force, leverage, and long-term positioning.

That's why negotiating with it is viewed as futile. When survival depends on consolidation and expansion, diplomacy becomes a delay tactic. Talks buy time. Time strengthens capability. And strengthened capability hardens the regime. The argument is simple: if negotiations are used to regroup rather than reform, then dialogue without decisive pressure only prolongs the problem.

This is a plea to President Trump. Think clearly and know what's at stake. Don't negotiate with a regime that uses diplomacy as a delay tactic. Don't legitimize it. Don't give it time to regroup, rebuild, and expand its influence. Instead, act decisively. Don't manage the problem. End it.
