Some tears fall.
Mine learned to wait.
They waited behind smiles.
Behind laughter.
Behind I'm fine.
Behind the woman who had learned that letting people see her hurt felt too much like handing them the weapon.
So I held them.
Not because there was nothing to cry about.
Because there was too much.
Somewhere along the way, holding back tears stopped being something I did and became someone I knew how to be.
Until I began to wonder: Where do tears go when you refuse to let them fall?
I imagined mine locked away inside me—carrying years of things they had never been given permission to say.
And then I saw her differently.
One tear.
No longer waiting for permission.
No longer asking whether it was safe to come out.
She didn't just fall.
She grew feet.
And she walked away carrying something I didn't need to carry anymore.
Maybe healing isn't always about getting something back.
Sometimes healing is watching something that once lived inside you leave—and realizing you don't have to chase it.
This episode is for every person who became so good at surviving that even their tears learned how to hide.
Maybe they're not waiting to break you.
Maybe they're waiting to set you free.
Where Healing Began
