  • Whiskey & Wisdom - Ep. 5: Watch How They Move
    2026/09/03

    People can say anything.

They can tell you they support you.Tell you they’re proud of you.Tell you they’ve got your back.

    But eventually…

you have to stop listening only to the words and start paying attention to the patterns.

    Because words are introductions.

    Patterns are the truth.

Watch how people show up when you need them.

Watch how they speak about you when you’re not in the room.

Watch how they respond when something good finally happens for you.

Watch how they move when there’s nothing they can gain from you.

You don’t always need a confrontation.

You don’t always need a long conversation explaining what you noticed.

    Sometimes you simply learn…

    and adjust their access.

Not everybody has to be completely cut off.

Some people just need to be moved a little further back.

Because eventually, consistency will tell you what a conversation never could.

  • Letters From The Lounge -Ep. 5: To the One Who’s Tired of Being Strong
    2026/09/02

    Dear you…

I know everybody depends on you.

You’re the one who figures it out.

The one people call when something goes wrong.

The one who says “I’m good” even when you’re anything but.

And because you’ve carried it so well…

people started believing it wasn’t heavy.

But who checks on the person everybody else leans on?

Who asks you, “Are you really okay?” — and stays long enough to hear the real answer?

Being strong doesn’t mean you never get tired.

It doesn’t mean you have to know what to do next.

And it definitely doesn’t mean you have to carry everything alone.

Sometimes strength is putting something down.

Sometimes it’s saying, “I can’t do this today.”

Sometimes it’s finally allowing somebody else to show up for you.

You’ve spent so much time being a safe place for everybody else.

You deserve somewhere safe to land too.

    So tonight…

    take the armor off.

    Let yourself breathe.

The world won’t fall apart because you rested for a moment.

    Remember:

You don’t always have to be the strong one. Sometimes, you deserve to be held too. 💌

  • Midnight Thoughts - Ep. 9: Stop Shrinking Yourself to Fit
    2026/09/01

How much of yourself have you made smaller just to keep other people comfortable?

Maybe you started talking a little quieter.

    Dreaming a little smaller.

Stopped sharing what you were excited about.

Or learned to hide your confidence because being fully yourself seemed to make somebody else uncomfortable.

But eventually, you have to ask:

How long are you going to keep making yourself smaller just so somebody else can feel bigger?

You shouldn’t have to dim your light to keep a relationship.

You shouldn’t have to hide your accomplishments to keep a friendship.

And you shouldn’t have to pretend you don’t want more because the people around you are comfortable where they are.

    Growth changes things.

    Sometimes it changes relationships.

    Sometimes it changes rooms.

And sometimes you realize the version of you that once fit somewhere… doesn’t fit anymore.

    That’s okay.

    You’re allowed to outgrow places.

    You’re allowed to change.

You’re allowed to become someone you’ve never been before.

    Maybe you’re not too much.

Maybe you’ve just been trying to fit inside places you’ve already outgrown.

    Stand tall.

    Speak clearly.

    Dream big.

And stop apologizing for taking up space. 🌙

  • Morning Coffee With Sykes -Ep. 4: You’re Allowed to Start Again
    2026/08/30

Maybe last week didn’t go the way you wanted.

    Maybe you procrastinated.

    Maybe you lost your patience.

    Maybe you made a mistake.

Maybe you simply weren’t the version of yourself you wanted to be.

    But this morning…

    you’re allowed to start again.

Starting over doesn’t mean everything before today was a failure.

Sometimes it simply means you learned something.

And now you get another chance to do it differently.

You don’t need a new month.

You don’t need a new year.

You don’t even need a perfect Monday.

Sometimes all you need is one decision:

    “I’m going to try again.”

Maybe today you make the call.

    Take the walk.

    Apply for the opportunity.

    Go back to the gym.

    Apologize.

Or finally begin the thing you’ve been talking yourself out of.

One small decision can change the direction of your day.

And enough days can change the direction of your life.

So don’t spend this beautiful morning punishing yourself for yesterday.

    Learn from it.

    Take what you need.

Leave the rest where it happened.

Because today is a new page.

You don’t have to write yesterday’s story on it. ☕

  • Midnight Thoughts - Ep. 8: You Don’t Have to Figure It All Out Tonight
    2026/08/29

Some nights your body is exhausted…

but your mind just won’t stop.

Tomorrow.Money.Work.Relationships.That decision you haven’t made. That conversation you keep replaying.

And somehow, you convince yourself that you need to have an answer for all of it before you can rest.

    But you don’t.

You don’t have to solve your entire life tonight.

    Some answers need time.

    Some decisions need clarity.

And sometimes the best thing you can do is stop trying to figure everything out while you’re exhausted.

Everything can feel heavier at night.

What feels impossible at 1:00 in the morning might look completely different after you’ve rested.

    So instead of asking:

“How am I going to fix all of this?”

    Try asking:

    “What can wait until tomorrow?”

Whatever didn’t get finished will still be there.

Whatever answer you don’t have yet can wait.

    Tonight…

    unclench your jaw.

    Drop your shoulders.

    Put the phone down.

    Take a breath.

And give yourself permission to simply…

    be done for today.

    Tomorrow, you can try again.

    But tonight?

    Rest. 🌙

  • Midnight Lounge -Ep. 4: Love Should Feel Like Peace
    2026/08/28

The older you get, the less impressive butterflies become.

Chemistry is beautiful. Attraction matters. Passion matters.

But eventually… you start wanting something deeper.

    You start wanting peace.

Someone you don’t have to perform for.

Someone you can sit beside in complete silence without it feeling awkward.

Someone who doesn’t leave you questioning where you stand.

Because love shouldn’t always feel like anxiety.

    You shouldn’t constantly be wondering:

    “Did I say too much?”“Am I enough?”“Are they leaving?”

The right kind of love lets your shoulders come down.

Sometimes romance isn’t roses or expensive dinners.

    Sometimes it’s:

“Text me when you get home.”

“I made you something to eat.”

    “You seem quiet. What’s wrong?”

    Or simply…

    “Come here. I’ve got you.”

    That’s intimacy too.

    So yes, give me passion.

    Give me chemistry.

    But after all of that…

give me somebody who makes my heart feel safe enough to slow down.

Maybe the best kind of love isn’t the person who gives you butterflies forever.

    Maybe…

it’s the person who eventually feels like peace. ❤️

  • Whiskey & Wisdom - Ep. 4: Not Every Battle Deserves You
    2026/08/27

Just because you can respond… doesn’t mean you should.

Every disagreement doesn’t need your energy.

Every disrespectful comment doesn’t require a reaction.

And every battle doesn’t deserve you.

There was a time when getting the last word felt important. You wanted to prove your point. Make sure they understood where you stood.

    But eventually, you learn something:

Winning the argument can still cost you your peace.

And sometimes… that price is too high.

Walking away doesn’t make you weak.

    Silence doesn’t mean you lost.

    Sometimes wisdom is realizing:

“If I respond to this, I’m giving it more importance than it deserves.”

So before you send that text…

    Before you type that paragraph…

Before you give someone access to your emotions…

    ask yourself:

“Is winning this worth losing my peace?”

    If the answer is no?

    Put the phone down.

    Take a sip. 🥃

Let them think whatever they want.

Sometimes the strongest thing you can say…

    is nothing at all.

    Choose your battles.

    Better yet…

    choose your peace.

  • Letters From The Lounge - Ep. 4: To the One Who Keeps Choosing Everybody Else
    2026/08/26

    Dear you…

When was the last time you chose yourself?

Not after everybody else was taken care of.

Not after every problem was solved.

Not when there was finally nothing left to do.

When was the last time you put yourself first without feeling guilty about it?

You’ve gotten so good at showing up for everyone else that somewhere along the way, your own needs became something that could always wait.

But loving people doesn’t require losing yourself.

Saying “I need something too” doesn’t make you selfish.

And choosing yourself doesn’t mean you stopped caring about everyone else.

Maybe choosing yourself means saying no without writing a paragraph explaining why.

Maybe it means resting without feeling guilty.

Maybe it means finally walking away from something that keeps taking from you but never pours anything back.

    Whatever it looks like, remember:

You deserve some of the love you keep giving away.

So before you automatically say yes to everyone else…

    ask yourself:

    “What do I need?”

    And for once…

    listen to the answer. 💌
