Welcome to episode one of Built to Last.

We're Adrian and Kate Addamo, husband and wife, holistic performance coach and business mentor and two people who've spent a lot of years figuring out a different way to live and work. In this first episode, we're sharing the story behind Built to Last, how the name came about, what brought us both here and why we decided to do this together.

We've both experienced burnout, identity shifts and a lot of unlearning. We've questioned things most people don't give themselves permission to question and we've rebuilt from the ground up in more ways than one, in our health, our home, our relationship and our businesses. This podcast is where we share what that's actually looked like and how you can start bringing that into your own life too.

In Kate's work with women, she's seeing it more than ever. Women are carrying the mental load, building businesses, managing households and holding everyone else together, all while quietly losing themselves in the process. Women who have spent so long people-pleasing and shrinking themselves that they've completely disconnected from what they actually want.

Adrian is seeing the other side of that. Men who are doing everything they were told would bring fulfilment, working hard, providing, succeeding and getting there, only to find that something still feels missing. Men who want to show up as better leaders, better husbands, better fathers, but haven't yet found the tools or the space to look honestly at how they're living.

This podcast isn't about the shoulds. It's an honest conversation about health, the way we live and the businesses we're building. The kind of conversation that stays with you and actually shifts something. You don't have to have it figured out to be here. You just have to be open to a different way.

It's time to build something intentional that lasts.
