  • Episode 11: 63929
    2025/11/30

In this episode, we dive into a mega week for the Blades: three huge matches in just six days — and nine glorious points in the bag. We kick things off by basking in the pure joy of a Sheffield derby demolition, reliving the goals, the atmosphere, and every moment of that hammering of Wednesday.

We then turn our attention to a limp Portsmouth side who couldn’t cope with United’s intensity, breaking down how a 3–0 mauling felt almost routine as the Blades powered through the week. From there, we head to the King Power to unpack a seriously impressive away performance against Leicester, looking at what this result means for momentum, belief, and the wider picture of the season.

Jonny delivers his player ratings across all three matches, offering plenty of talking points, disagreements, and a few surprises. We also take a moment to explore the fallout from those click-bait merger headlines and what repercussions they might have for fans and the club. And, of course, a huge thank you goes to Shaun for his editing wizardry that keeps the podcast sounding sharp every week.

  • Episode 10: Sheffield Derby Special
    2025/11/20

In this bumper Sheffield Derby Special, we dive headfirst into one of the fiercest rivalries in English football. We kick things off by reliving our best derby memories — the limbs, the atmosphere, the unexpected heroes, and those glorious moments home and away that still give us goosebumps. Then, in true Blades fashion, we come crashing back to reality as we revisit the painful ones: the heartbreaks, the horror shows, and the “how did that happen?” moments that only a derby can produce.

We also talk through our favourite goals against our city rivals, from thunderbolts to tap-ins, and why each one still means so much. And of course, we round things off with some tense, nail-biting predictions ahead of Sunday’s huge match.

Massive thanks to Shaun — not just for his editing wizardry, but for his singing, support, and everything he brings to the Hodcast.

    Up the Blades!

P.S. — We’ve decided not to mention the W word… you know the one.

  • Episode 5 - The U’s Giveth and the Saints Taketh Away
    2025/10/01

In this Hodcast we finally get to talk about a win – our first (and only!) of the season so far, away at Oxford. We go over what clicked on the day, which players stood out, and whether it was a sign of better things to come or just a rare bright spot in a tough campaign.

Back at Bramall Lane it was a very different story, as a refereeing horror show overshadowed the home defeat to Southampton. We break down the key decisions, vent a bit of frustration, and ask what more United have to do to get a fair shake.

We also take a step back and chat through some of the club’s biggest missed signings – those nearly-men who could’ve changed the picture – before turning attention to the return of Oli McBurnie as he lines up against the Blades this weekend.

To round things off, we look ahead to a tricky test against Hull City, asking where the points might come from and what United need to do to turn things around.

A big shout-out to Shaun, Scott and Lee for all their support, and a massive thank you to everyone who’s listened, shared, and got involved – it means a lot.
