They have found a new brain protein involved in the development of Parkinson’s disease and a way to modify it, paving the way for future treatments for the disease.

On this week's episode we speak to Jason van Leuven, who changed careers in 2015 and went to study medical science, specialising in neuroscience and pharmacology. He has just been diagnosed with with Parkinson’s in May last year while completing his PhD and has a unique perspective on how difficult it is to make these diagnoses, especially in the beginning of the disease.
