  • Seed of Faith: A Door of Hope
    2026/02/11

In this episode of Seed of Faith from the Seed Christian Fellowship, Pastor Dave explores the theme of a living hope in a new sermon series on hope. Drawing from Psalm 71, Hosea 2:14-17, and 1 Peter 1:1-9, he shows how God transforms the "Valley of Achor"—a place of trouble and despair—into a door of hope through His mercy and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This living hope is not mere wishful thinking but a confident, dynamic expectation rooted in Christ's victory over death, offering believers an imperishable inheritance and joy amid trials. Pastor Dave illustrates this with powerful stories, including Billy Graham's unwavering hope in heaven, a burned boy's renewed will to live, personal family redemption, and the transformative "brownie of hope" given to Little Annie (Anne Sullivan). Listeners are encouraged to look expectantly toward Christ, hang the "red cord" of hope for others, and remember that if God raised Jesus from the dead, nothing is impossible for Him. Join us to discover how this living hope sustains us in troubling times and points us to eternal glory.

  • Living Hope Restored
    2026/02/03

In this sermon from Pastor Dave at Seed Christian Fellowship, he launches a series on hope leading toward Lent and Easter, emphasizing hope as a vital companion to faith and love (1 Corinthians 13:13) and a confident expectation in God’s promises rather than mere wishful thinking. He contrasts the widespread discouragement in the world—quoting Howard Hendricks on it as Satan’s “anesthetic” that enables deeper spiritual damage—with biblical hope as the foundation of faith (Hebrews 11:1). Sharing a personal low point in 1998 when pastoring a conflicted Missouri church scarred by scandal, where anger was projected onto his wife making services unsafe for her, Pastor Dave describes how a Third Day concert performance of “My Hope Is You” restored their hope through the Holy Spirit, prompting them to stand and reaffirm trust in God. He highlights Psalms as rich sources of hope, cites Old Testament figures who persevered through trials by anchoring in God’s word, and invites listeners facing despair, darkness, or loss to rediscover resurrection-powered hope in Christ—defined in his acronym as “Heaven’s One Promise” (Immanuel leading to eternity)—urging daily Psalm reading, prayer, and placing ultimate trust in Jesus for renewed strength, peace, and purpose.

  • Notable Faith
    2026/01/24

In this week's Seed of Faith radio message, Pastor Dave explores the story of the twelve spies sent into the Promised Land (Numbers 13–14) and draws a powerful life lesson from one small but life-changing word: “but”. While ten of the spies gave a faithless report saying, “The land flows with milk and honey… but the people are powerful… we seemed like grasshoppers,” Joshua and Caleb placed their “but” in the right place: “But the Lord is with us.” Pastor Dave powerfully contrasts the words “not able” (meaning incapable, weak, defeated) with “notable” (remarkable, distinguished, significant) — the only difference being the placement of one space. He challenges listeners to stop letting the “giants” in their lives (health issues, financial problems, fear, past failures) convince them they are “not able,” and instead become “notable” by keeping God in the equation. As we begin 2026 with a clean slate, the message is clear: where you place your “but” determines whether you live defeated or victorious — choose to say “But God is with us… But God is able.”

  • Jump Into God's Mix
    2026/01/24

In this powerful New Year's sermon from The Seed church, Pastor David kicks off 2026 with an inspiring call to "Jump into God's mix" — embracing what God is doing anew in our lives, families, work, and church community. Drawing from Proverbs 22:1 ("A good name is more desirable than great riches"), the Baptism of the Lord (Matthew 3, John 1), and stories of name changes in Scripture (Simon to Peter, Abram to Abraham), he urges us to let go of past sins and burdens — symbolized by dropping black stones into the sea during communion — and step into fresh identity in Christ. Jesus is always "passing by," calling ordinary people like the disciples from Bethsaida to "Come" and "Follow me" with imperative urgency. Forget what lies behind; strain forward to a new chapter as followers of Christ (Christians), receiving a new name of confidence, joy, and purpose (echoing Revelation 2:17's white stone). Through communion, release the old, claim your word of intention for the year, and live out a reputation that honors God above all else.

  • Baptism's True Meaning
    2026/01/17

In this message from Pastor Dave of the Seed Christian Fellowship, the focus is on the significance of baptism as seen in Matthew 3:1–17, where John the Baptist calls for repentance and prepares the way for Jesus, who is baptized to fulfill all righteousness, resulting in the heavens opening, the Spirit descending like a dove, and God's voice declaring, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased." Amid debates over modes—immersion, pouring, sprinkling, or even humorous anecdotes like fire-hose baptisms or Ollie's "conversion" from beef to fish—Pastor Dave emphasizes that the form is secondary; baptism is an outward sign of inward spiritual realities worked by the Holy Spirit: death to sin and resurrection to new life, cleansing and forgiveness of sins, regeneration and renewal, and adoption or engrafting as beloved sons and daughters into God's family. Drawing from personal stories, including a powerful Andean river baptism and a young man's spontaneous decision to be baptized, he urges listeners to remember who they are in Christ—forgiven, renewed, and loved by the Father—echoing the call to Simba in The Lion King: "Remember who you are. You are more than you have become," inviting all, whether baptized or not, to embrace this new beginning in the new year through faith in Jesus.

  • Strength & Peace
    2026/01/17

In this inspiring message from Jordan Laemmlen at The Seed Christian Fellowship, explore the powerful promise of Psalm 29:11: “The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace.” Jordan unpacks how God’s unmatched power—thundering over creation like in Psalm 29—brings deep, unshakable peace, not through our own efforts but through surrender to Him. Drawing from UFC fighter Jalin Turner’s journey of emptiness, retirement at 29, and triumphant return filled with Christ-centered confidence, alongside biblical examples like David facing Goliath and Stephen’s peaceful martyrdom, he reminds us: true strength and peace flow from trusting Jesus, not self-reliance. This isn’t a TED Talk—it’s real life with eternal stakes. Seek Him first, surrender today, and experience the strength and peace only Christ provides.Filmed at The Seed Christian Fellowship.
