What if Jesus was walking beside you... and you didn't recognize Him?

Two disciples walked with the risen Christ, yet their grief, expectations, opinions, and understanding kept them from recognizing the very One they had been hoping for.

Could the same thing happen to us?

Sometimes we become so focused on our traditions, our education, our theology, or even our own opinions that we begin telling Jesus about Jesus—just as the disciples did on the road to Emmaus. Instead of recognizing His presence, we become distracted by what we think we know.

This message is an invitation to slow down, open our hearts to the Scriptures, and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal Christ to us once again.

May we never become so busy talking about Jesus that we fail to recognize when He is walking beside us.
