On today's episode, we are joined by Rob Picard. Rob is the Security Lead at Vanta, a startup that automates compliance and simplifies security. Rob got his start as a penetration tester at Matasano Security in 2014. Since then he has worked in a variety of roles at Addepar, Robinhood, and his own Y Combinator backed startup Observa. Today he’s focused on building the foundation for a successful security and compliance program at Vanta and learning everything he can about securing early stage companies. 

Today we will be chatting with Rob about his career path, how he thinks about building scalable teams, and a more general dive into the security aspects of enterprise and consumer tech startups.
