During a severe drought in the village of Chirukupalli, a generous landlord decided to distribute daily loaves of bread to the village children to relieve their hunger. The next morning, hungry children rushed to the basket, fighting each other to grab the largest pieces of bread.
However, a young girl named Nirmala waited patiently off to the side without jostling with others. Once everyone left, she took the smallest loaf remaining in the basket, expressed her gratitude to the landlord, and went home.
When Nirmala and her mother broke the bread at home, they found a gold coin hidden inside. Demonstrating their honesty, Nirmala's mother sent her back to return the coin to the landlord. Upon seeing her, the landlord smiled and explained that he had intentionally placed the coin in the smallest loaf to reward the child who remained content and patient without fighting. He gifted the gold coin to Nirmala for her exemplary character.
Moral: Patience, honesty, and being content with what you have will always bring true rewards and good fortune.
