  • The Fitness Industry Has Resilience Backwards
    2026/05/29

In this episode of the Resilience Podcast, I’m talking about the role fitness should actually play in your life and why I believe the fitness industry often gets resilience completely backwards.

Yes, building a workout structure and routine is important.

Yes, developing consistency and momentum matters.

But once fitness becomes established in your life, it should support your life, not consume it.

    I talk about:

why fitness is not the “end all be all”

the difference between health supporting your life versus becoming your identity

how social media and the fitness industry often push unrealistic definitions of discipline

why many people feel disconnected from “grind harder” messaging

building exercise around your preferences instead of forcing yourself into systems you hate

using fitness as a starting point for growth in other areas of life

I also talk about resilience from a much broader perspective.

A lot of people feel like they are failing because they have stopped and restarted fitness routines over the years. But resilience is not about never struggling.

It’s about continuing to navigate life, learn, adapt, and move forward even when things feel difficult.

You are more resilient than you think you are.

And your ability to keep showing up and searching for a better direction says more about you than any perfect workout routine ever could.

  • Do You Feel Like You’re Barely Keeping Your Head Above Water?
    2026/05/22

In this episode of the Resilience Podcast, I’m talking to the people who feel like life has gotten the upper hand lately.

    The people who feel overwhelmed.

    The people who feel exhausted.

The people who feel like they’re falling behind on their goals, routines, or responsibilities.

If that’s where you are right now, I want you to remember something important:

You have figured things out before.

And you will figure this out too.

This episode is about trusting yourself even when you do not have all the answers yet.

    I talk about:

    overwhelm and emotional exhaustion

why resilience is not just “grinding harder”

    trusting yourself during difficult seasons

why fitness should support your life instead of becoming your entire life

learning to step back and navigate things with awareness instead of panic

remembering how capable you actually are

A lot of people are dealing with stress, burnout, work exhaustion, caregiving responsibilities, parenting challenges, mental fatigue, and chronic overwhelm right now.

The old “just stay disciplined” messaging feels disconnected from real life for many people.

This episode is a reminder that resilience is not perfection.

It is continuing to navigate life even when things feel heavy.

  • You’ve Already Proven You Can Do This
    2026/05/15

Think about everything you’ve already made it through.

The situations you didn’t think you’d survive. The things people said you couldn’t do. The moments where you had no idea how you’d move forward, but you did.

In this episode, I break down why your past experiences are the strongest proof of your resilience, and why building confidence isn’t about waiting for results, it’s about choosing to trust yourself now.

You’ve already done more than you give yourself credit for.

  • Building Resilience After Weight Loss and GLP-1s
    2026/05/11

This episode was originally recorded for the Life During and After GLP-1 Podcast, and I wanted to bring it to The Resilience Podcast because resilience is what keeps you going when the excitement fades, when progress slows down, and when life gets difficult.

In this conversation, we talk about the emotional and mental side of weight loss, body image, food habits, and learning how to continue showing up for yourself even when things are not perfect. Because long-term change is not built through perfection. It is built through course correction, patience, and the willingness to keep moving forward.

We also discuss how losing weight or using GLP-1 medications does not automatically remove insecurity, self-doubt, or emotional eating patterns. The real work is learning how to rebuild trust with yourself while creating habits that actually fit your life long term.

If you have ever felt frustrated with yourself, discouraged by setbacks, or unsure how to maintain momentum during your fitness journey, this episode is a reminder that resilience is not about never struggling. It is about continuing to come back to yourself and your goals.

  • Stop Underrating Your Ability to Figure Things Out
    2026/05/08

You’ve been through more than you give yourself credit for.

You’ve faced situations you didn’t know how to handle, and you figured them out anyway.

In this episode, I break down one of the most overlooked resilience skills, the ability to step back, assess, and adapt. While most people focus on constant action, real growth comes from learning how to adjust and move forward with intention.

You don’t just survive. You navigate. And that matters more than you think.

  • Resilient People Still Need to Rest
    2026/05/01

How often do you feel like you have to be the strong one?

The one who shows up. The one who holds everything together. The one everyone relies on.

In this episode, I talk about the other side of resilience, the part no one really discusses. The fatigue, the pressure, and the need to give yourself permission to step back.

Being resilient doesn’t mean pushing through everything. It means knowing when to rest so you can come back stronger.

  • How Taking a Step Back Helps You Move Forward Faster
    2026/04/24

Your rest days are not slowing you down, they are what keep you going.

In this episode, I break down one of the biggest misconceptions in fitness, personal growth, and life. The idea that you always need to be pushing forward in order to make progress.

The truth is, real progress comes from knowing when to step forward and when to step back.

Sometimes that step back is physical. Sometimes it is mental. Sometimes it is simply creating space between what you are doing and who you are as a person.

This is where resilience is actually built.

Not just in the grind, but in the awareness, the pauses, and the ability to reconnect with yourself.

You have already handled more than you give yourself credit for. You are more resilient than you think. This episode is your reminder to slow down, reflect, and keep going in a way that actually lasts.

    Key Takeaways

Momentum is built through both action and recovery

Stepping away helps you make better decisions

Your mind works in the background when you create space

    You are not your productivity

Resilience is built through pacing, not just pushing
