In the aftermath of October 7 2023, many long-standing friendships between Muslims and Jews were shaken, leaving communities the world over even more heart-broken.

Yet, amidst this turmoil, Imam Nasser Kurdy and Rabbi Dovid Lewis chose a different path - to keep their friendship and conversation alive.

Their podcast, launching in early May, is a candid exploration of what it means to maintain connection and understanding across religious and cultural divides.

Through their honest dialogue and shared stories, they invite listeners to witness the resilience of their bond and consider how empathetic conversations can help bridge widening gaps and people together.

The Rabbi, The Imam and The Power of Dialogue is a testament to their enduring strength of friendship and the hope that, even in times of conflict, we can all choose to see each other, listen, and learn.

Meet the show hosts

Dr Nasser Kurdy, Originally from Jordan, has been living in the UK since 1977 and is a surgeon in central Manchester. He was the trustee and lay Imam of the Altrincham and Hale Muslim Mosque for 16 years.

Rabbi Dovid Lewis Originally from Manchester and has been the Rabbi of the South Manchester Jewish Community since 2011, and likes to call himself a chef!

Dr Nasser and Rabbi Dovid have worked together in promoting interfaith relationships between their two communities for the last decade.

Since October 7th they have presented their vision to school assemblies and premier league clubs across the north west of England.
