After the synagogue service, Jesus goes to Simon Peter’s home and heals Peter’s mother-in-law with a simple touch. As the Sabbath ends at sundown, the whole city gathers at the door bringing the sick and demon-oppressed—and Jesus heals many and casts out many demons. This passage reveals Christ’s humility, His care for the weak, and His power to reverse the effects of the curse as a preview of the coming kingdom.
