  • Episode 12: Where is Your Center?
    2026/03/16

Triggers. Reactivity. What does it feel like to lose your center and how much compassion do you have for yourself when you do? Because how can we offer compassion to others if we don't practice offering it to ourselves? Also, what does it mean to be authentically yourself, regardless of what that means you present to the world? In this conversation Alison and David explore the truth in the notion that neither calmness or centeredness or any other desirable way of being is more important than being authentic to our human experience in any given moment. Indeed, nothing good ever comes from pretending ourselves beyond where we are in our individual human evolutions. We are all works in progress and the more deeply we embrace our flaws and mistakes as necessary steps on our path to our highest way of being, the closer we are in proximity to our divinity.

Sometimes the spiritual path includes losing your center for a moment — and then finding it again with awareness.

In this episode, Alison and David explore:

    • What it really means to “lose your center”
    • Compassion for yourself during reactive moments
    • Nervous system jolts and modern spiritual life
    • Authenticity vs pretending to be calm
    • The difference between reactions and conscious responses
    • How expectations, triggers, and responsibility intertwine
    • The real meaning of mindfulness beyond the buzzword
    • Why meditation practice matters off the cushion

This is spiritual growth in real life, not in a cave.

If you’ve ever wondered how to stay centered in a fast-moving world, this conversation is for you.

Sister and Brother duo and fellow yogis Alison J. Kay PhD and David M. Kay CMT go beyond standard self help talk to get underneath the hood of today's unprecedented, universal spiritual awakening to help us discover indeed what else is possible.

  • Episode 11: A Year of Calmness
    2026/03/07

In Episode 11 of The Peacock Cometh, Alison J. Kay and David M. Kay explore why calmness isn’t something you “try harder” to get… it’s something you train, receive, and remember - especially in times of rapid change.

    In this episode, you’ll explore:
    • Why chakras are far deeper than surface-level “clearing”
    • Why yoga postures refresh you (even when you don’t know why)
    • Chanting vs. silent meditation (yin/yang mechanics)
    • Calmness as a devotional state you can cultivate
    • Why practicing calmness when life is easy matters
    • Expectations, unconscious storylines, and what you’re projecting onto life
    • Visualization: “the thing” vs. the energy behind the thing
    • The surprising spiritual power of embracing being wrong

    Chapters:
00:00 Chakras are deeper than “quick clearing”
02:10 Why yoga poses open chakras (and why you feel refreshed)
05:05 Chanting first: why it works (heart-opening + devotion)
08:20 Harmonium + fading from outer sound to inner chanting
11:05 Yin/yang mechanics: outward practice vs inward stillness
13:45 Fire Horse energy + why restlessness can spike this year
16:20 Calmness as a divine quality (the 8 aspects + how to use them)
20:10 Practice calm when life is easy (so it’s there when it’s not)
22:40 Walking meditation + “everything I hear is for me”
25:05 Embodiment: returning to the body (simple chakra anchors)
27:35 Expectations + unconscious storylines (what you’re projecting)
30:10 Visualization: don’t limit the outcome - tune into the energy
33:00 The gift of being wrong (ego softening + purification)
35:10 Consistency, momentum, and choosing what actually fits you

The way to feel calmness or joy is neither a tool or a technique but a relationship to the source of all uplifted feelings that we can cultivate in various ways. One of the most effective and accessible ways is to start relating to that which we already feel.

Have you felt calmness at some point in your life? Joyful? Peaceful? Wise?

Then you already know and have these - it's a matter of removing the conditions and circumstances surrounding those feelings to tune into the feelings themselves which require no specific conditions or circumstances.

In this entertaining episode, David and Alison dive into some different ways to think about relating to Divine aspects such as calmness, joy, peace, love and wisdom in ways that make them real and that we can incorporate into our central way of being in the world. And the closer we begin to relate to these aspects of the Divine, the less our li

  • Episode 10: Fulfilled By The Sacred
    2026/03/02

What if fulfillment has nothing to do with achievement and everything to do with the Sacred?

In a world obsessed with productivity, status, and constant motion, what changes when we choose to prioritize our inner life instead?

In Episode 10 of The Peacock Cometh, Alison J. Kay and David M. Kay explore spiritual fulfillment, the friendliness of change, and what becomes possible when we allow the Sacred to accompany us in our daily lives.

This conversation moves beyond surface self-help and into the deeper rhythms of awakening, consciousness, and co-creation in a rapidly shifting world.

    Topics explored in this episode:
    • The friendliness of change
    • Spiritual practice during uncertain times
    • Inner fulfillment vs outer productivity
    • Sacred awareness in daily life
    • The emerging spiritual paradigm
    • Conscious evolution
    • The rhythms of awakening

What does it feel like to be truly fulfilled? It is one thing to notice beauty in nature and life. It is something more to fall deeply into gratitude for the reminder that there is a sacredness that wants to live our lives with us. That wants to accompany us one our way, in every way, in everything we do, see, hear and feel. The world is changing and this change is friendly. The support of the sacred for our highest good is here. It's palpable. We need only take a moment to acknowledge and invite the Divine to join us. What if we always choose and prioritize our inner life, our inner exploration, our inner thriving and value it even more than we value the outward blessings in our lives, no matter our stage in life? In this episode Alison and David explore the rhythms of a life and what happens in our day to day existence when we prioritize and value the inner journey.

  • Episode 9: The Instrument is Blessed
    2026/02/18

    In this episode:
What happens when you stop trying to “figure everything out”… and instead become still enough to let grace fill the space?

Alison J. Kay PhD and David M. Kay explore how spiritual practice actually pays off (often not the way the mind expects), why language sometimes falls short in new consciousness, and how the instrument (you) becomes blessed by what flows through it.

When we desire to be a beneficent presence in this world, and to whatever extent we can become quiet, still and clear, then uplifted currents will flow through us and we are blessed.

In these energetically charged times the results of our spiritual practice rarely show up the way we think, but always in the way that is most useful, divinely inspired. Don't quit. Don't stop. Don't ever choose the path of not doing the practices that you know in your heart are true simply because you haven't reached an arbitrary goal that your smallest self decided needs to be reached.

In this episode of The Peacock Cometh, Alison and David talk in most encouraging terms about the payoff for even the smallest of spiritual effort and how we are seeing the essential nature of spiritual engagement for flourishing in this new paradigm.

We may not always have the exact words to clearly express the truth of expanding consciousness, but the more space we create, the more still we become, the more intuitive understanding can influence and help us grow into our potential.

  • Episode 8: We are Infinitely Supported
    2026/02/02

We are supported in ways we cannot know. There is both a thrill and relief when we realize the truth that it is not up to us alone to do it all. Our job is to get clear enough, still enough, open enough and in charge of our energy enough to allow for the universal help that is available to us to step in and support everything we are trying to accomplish, whether inwardly or outwardly in life. The light is always here and wants so much to be let in to nourish and support and help and uplift us. When we let go of the downward pulls on our consciousness, guilt, shame, worry then grace can find us and touch us in ways we never imagined. Indeed, there is a shift in consciousness that is happening across humanity from a focus on problems to an asking, with genuine and childlike curiosity, from a heart centered place of trust, "What if There's Nothing Wrong?"

  • Episode 7: What Can I Give?
    2026/01/27

In Episode 7 of The Peacock Cometh, Alison and David explore what it means to stay grounded when life is loud, busy, and demanding. And how a simple inner shift can change everything: moving from “What can I get?” to “What can I give?”

Together, they unpack the difference between taking action from the mind’s right/wrong programming versus taking aligned action that begins with inner vertical connection first, and then expresses in the world. You’ll hear how many people wait for a crisis to force growth, why that’s part of an older paradigm, and what it looks like to build a life where your lessons become gentler because you’re actually listening.

Alison also shares what she’s been feeling in this season of accelerated creation (that palpable stretching sensation of growth) and how this new cycle invites more willingness, more surrender, and more trust in what wants to come through you.

David brings in a deeply practical lens on devotion and service: why giving feels so good, how offering your spiritual practice back to the Divine changes your relationship with transformation, and how to stay focused on what is sweet and life-giving even while the world moves through upheaval.

    In this episode, you’ll explore:

    • How to stay grounded when life feels nonstop
    • Why “right action” isn’t about judgment — it’s about alignment
    • The old paradigm of needing crisis vs. proactive spiritual growth
    • Why your lessons become more gentle as awareness increases
    • The shift from “What can I get?” to “What can I give?”
    • Devotion as offering: bringing your practice back to Source
    • A powerful teaching on attention (the Bumblebee metaphor)

  • Episode 6: The Power in Not Knowing
    2026/01/04

It's interesting as Alison says that on the spiritual path the more you know the more there is to know. It's endless once we begin to embrace the "Great Mystery" as it's called when we discover that living from the heart means, to a certain extent, letting go of the intellect's need to know. There is power in this letting go. Are you willing? The freedom found in this awareness comes not through grim determination to figure it all out and become the most clever version of ourselves but in the joyful willingness and opening to a new kind of humility where the only desire that remains is to let go enough to step into the power that lives within the one and eternal truth we all seek. In this episode Alison and David get into how we relate to this truth, and further how we relate to each other from beyond our personalities so we might all reflect and see the truth no matter where, when and to whom we are relating.

  • Episode 5: Living the Blessing
    2025/12/21

Are you tired of simply romanticizing a more uplifted, full, dynamic and engaged we dare say spiritual day to day existence? Thinking that others are living a life so different from your own while you're 'stuck' with a more mundane existence? In this episode Alison and David get into this common, understandable but wholly false categorization game that the smallest part of you plays. Of those seemingly solid beliefs Alison asks, "What if that's not even accurate?" as we talk about how something as simple as thinking different, inspired, higher thoughts as we go about our daily tasks introduces the possibility of making choices from a different, inspired, higher place and offers a doorway to the very existence we desire.
