概要
Our inaugural VC guest is Shahram Seyedin-Noor, founder and General Partner at Civilization Ventures. Shahram was trained as a lawyer, and worked on the business side of several bio startups, before focusing on investing.
More details, transcripts and info about IndieBio and SOSV at: linktr.ee/indiebio Note: Pillo and Kit were mentioned in error. Civilization Ventures' co-investments with SOSV are: Catalog (IBSF 04), Prellis Biologics (IBSF Batch 05), and r-zero (HAX Seed 2020) About IndieBio Each startup team receives $525,000 in seed funding, lab and co-working space, dedicated mentorship, and become part of a huge network of IndieBio alumni, investors, biotech entrepreneurs, investors, press, corporate partners, and more. SOSV’s IndieBio has large laboratories and co-working space both in downtown San Francisco and New York City that our startups come to as hubs for their activities. We also now support companies remotely, from any location that’s optimal for the startup. All startups are trained (in-person or remote) through an intense 4-month program unlike anything they’ve ever experienced in their PhD’s and Post-doctoral training. Founders engage with customers and partners, pitch to investors, and turn science into a real product people pay for. Both locations run 2 programs with 15 companies each year.
