Welcome back to the NCL Podcast! My guest for this episode is none other than David O’Doherty!

David is Irish comedian, author, musician, actor and playwright - and all round legend!

I’ve been a massive fan of David’s for many years - whether appearing on stage at Edinburgh Fringe, in his successful stand alone shows, or as a regular panellist on 8 Out of 10 Cats and Would I Lie to You? - he’s always brilliant.

We recorded this podcast the night before David took to the stage at our big New Comedy Legends show in EartH, Dalston, back in June. My big take-away from speaking to him is (unsurprisingly) how much he loves comedy - both performing and watching. He mentions some of his legends: Kevin McAleer, Dylan Moran, Hannah Gadsby and Tommy Tiernan. We also chatted about new up and coming comedians (some of whom have graced the NCL stage): Rob Duncan, Vigo Venn, Sam Campbell, Aaron Chen, Tom Walker and Becky Lucas.

Also, big shout-out of course to The Corrs, the magnificent Dundalk band who get a lot of mentions towards the end!!
