  • There Is No Pantheon, Only Parity
    2026/03/02
It's a year that ends in "6," so just like 1996 with the Bulls and 2016 with the Warriors, we are due for an all-time great NBA-Team, right? Maybe not, but we have THE NBA-Team, Adam Murray and Andrew Riche, here to talk about teams on the cusp of greatness between Oklahoma City, Detroit, and San Antonio, and what may hold them back come playoff time. If parity overtakes the season (along with blatant tanking), what teams might be surprise and win the West or East? Andrew brings up some regular season matchups that caught some playoff fever, then the two co-hosts deep dive the 7 proposed changes to the Draft Lottery system to battle tanking in the regular season. So suit up and take it in episode 381 with the NBA-Team!

B-B-B-Bonus Content! Adam provides his thoughts on the recent commentary that the NBA Draft should be scrapped altogether and create a 19 year old NCAA freshman free agent frenzy (spoiler alert: he's against it)

  • The Horoscope Says Crises
    2026/02/16
Adam Murray and Andrew Riche, THE NBA-Team, are back at it after a less-than-festive All Star Break where the state of the league address by Adam Silver left one of our hosts pessimistic, to say the least. The tanks are already rolling out before we reached the All-Star Game, but is it forcing the league's hand to consider drastic changes or sit idly by while the playoff standings stay in idle? Why is Andrew so intrigued in this particular season by the Most Improved Award race with such a deep pool? Adam also discusses the very real possibility of third or fourth options winning MVP and All-NBA honors by default due to DNP's by superstars. So suit up and take it out in episode 379 with the NBA-Team!

  • The Vultures Are Circling
    2026/02/09
As we pass the NBA trade deadline and see at least three certified Hall of Famers get moved, why did a lot of NBA fans feel like an eventful week of trades feel so unfulfilled and pessimistic about teams in tank mode and playoff teams ready to pick off the pieces, but unwilling to give too much away? Adam Murray and Andrew Riche, THE NBA-Team, are back together after Adam held the fort earlier this week to give out grades for each team, talk about the reality of the second apron blues for playoffs teams, and why play-in purgatory seems like the one place teams do NOT want to be down the stretch. The Chicago Bulls finally made big roster changes, but why did all they pick up were guards? Why do Adam and Andrew disagree about what the Utah Jazz (by acquiring Jaren Jackson Jr.) are trying to do? Did the Atlanta Hawks get worse in the short term but have a bright future in the long term? If you're Steph Curry, is it time to ask out of Golden State? Andrew and Adam also talk about playoff teams standing pat, expiring contracts on the move, the dreaded 'player to be named later,' and more! So suit up and take it out in 378 with the NBA-Team!

  • Sell Low Sweet Chariot
    2026/02/05
The Jaren Jackson Jr, Trae Young, Anthony Davis, Nikola Vucevic...and Tyus Jones eras have some to an end, and all sold at appears to be at a loss. Sell Low, that's the new motto! 2nd Round Picks or Bust, right? Adam wraps up the trade deadline (more or less) and lets you know who went where....Indiana made things very interesting, to say the least. Lots of Names tossed around....not a lot of needle movers, but hey, we love this time of year. Enjoy!

  • The storm before the ...even more storm
    2026/02/04
It's another Trade Deadline and after an abnormally slow start, it has gone real sideways real fast. Utah Jazz Buyers?! James Harden had trade value?! Minnesota, what are you doing up there? We're sort of at the halfway point before last call, and Adam gives his quick takes on the first half of this bizarre trading frenzy. Enjoy !

  • That Sinking Feeling
    2026/02/02
Now that reality is sinking in for a lot of NBA franchises this season, now is the time, but time for what? Time to get out from that dreaded second tax apron? Time to beef up the roster for that vaunted, non-guaranteed Playoff run? Time to start from scratch and pillage the roster or find some new pillars? One way or another, the trade deadline is coming up in the NBA, and teams have the opportunity to make big changes or stand pat. Adam Murray and Andrew Riche, THE NBA-Team, are back with days to go before the deadline to discuss all the possibilities, and some deals that already went down. Why are neither guys that gun-ho about the chances Giannis Antetokounmpo gets traded before the summertime? Will Ja Morant find a happier place now that his days in Memphis are numbered? Who actually has the room to make moves, and why should or shouldn't they? Will the Kings finally blow it up? All this and much more! So suit up and take it out in episode 377 with the NBA-Team!
