- The online profile "Kevin Andrews" claimed to be an oncology nurse practitioner in Dayton and messaged Cheryl in December 2019; their first phone call lasted three hours.
- The image used for Kevin’s video calls belonged to retired physician Leonard Coss in Portland, Oregon, while the voice and plan were attributed to Dennis Caulfield, 41, of Terre Haute, Indiana, who had a prior conviction for fraud.
