UFC Vegas 120 was not a good card on paper, but in practice, we got treated to a decent card with quite a few finishes. That’s how these shows tend to go, though. You book a bunch of lower tier fighters and older guys/gals and you end up with some highlight reel moments. It’s not that we don’t appreciate them for what they are, it’s that we’re supposed to get higher quality matchups then the ones we normally get, being that this IS the UFC.

The undercard finishes began with Julianna Miller submitting Ravena Oliveira via rear naked choke in the second round. Miles Johns would score a nice first round TKO of Gianni Vazquez to keep the ball rolling. Jose Montanha choked out Louie Sutherland, also in the first round. Diyar Nurgozhay got the buzzer-beater TKO of Bruno Lopes in the first round to close out the finishes for the prelims.

Ty Miller and Billy Ray Goff had a spirited fight but Miller would take the win via TKO in the third round. Yadier Del Valle needed just 15 seconds to send Darren Elkins off to retirement. Thank you for all the damage done and taken, Mr. Elkins. Quillan Salkilld defeated Mateusz Gamrot bvia rear naked choke in the first round, securing his place as the next big thing and closing out the main card with a bang.
