Professor Wittman's Lollypop Shoppe is a show that is mostly based on the more obscure side of 1960's pop and rock recordings. The seeds of the program stem all the way back to 2003 on community radio station WDBX 91.1FM out of Carbondale, Illinois. These programs are recorded live to keep with how the sound of an actual DJ and radio used to be. Sometimes I'm happy, sometimes I'm sad, sometimes I ramble. There's plenty more shows from the archives to upload. If you like, please subscribe as that will encourage me to keep at it.

Included are many of their own recordings along with covers by The Rovin' Kind, The Pineapple Heard, Dino, Desi, & Billy, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, The Sunshines, Herman's Hermits, The Regents, Keith Allison, The Standells, The Liverpool Five, and The Monkees (obviously!).

    Side note: some 'rare' demos originally appeared on Andrew Sandoval's wonderful show Come To The Sunshine. Be sure to give Andrew some love as many of his programs are right here on Podomatic.

This episode also serves a tribute to Mark Volman who passed away September 5, 2025.
