Giselle continues to support social workers in the making by speaking to the graduating classes at her alma maters whenever called on. As a Dominican Latina, it gives her a new sense of pride walking into work every day as her true authentic self and supporting our marginalized communities. She hopes that the woman she has evolved into and continues to become would have made her younger self proud.

Giselle loves traveling the world and experiencing different cultures and cuisines. She enjoys creating something out of nothing or repurposing things to give them new life. She loves incorporating self-care into her everyday life through the practice of mindfulness, meditation, spa days and relaxing at home—a favorite way of spending time with her cat that she rescued in 2015. Giselle wants to be a pillar of hope for our communities to foster in the new generations of Latinx professionals. In our society, happiness is not usually the driving force when choosing a career; however, she knows that nothing else would make her happier than to be an influential part of someone else's success story.
