Many believers today find themselves removed from intimate relationship with God, not losing salvation but losing fellowship. Paul warned the Galatians about being distracted from the true gospel of relationship and falling into religious activity without connection. The power of the gospel flows from revelation received through relationship with the Holy Spirit, not from external works or theological knowledge alone. Many will stand before Christ recounting their accomplishments only to hear "I never knew you" because they pursued ministry without relationship. True eternal life is defined as knowing God intimately, which comes through daily fellowship with the Holy Spirit and yielding to His leading rather than following our own plans.
