“I don't know who I am anymore.” “I miss being happy.”

If either has crossed your mind — while you chauffeur your kids around town as they live their best lives, or stare at a color-coded calendar filled with everyone else's activities — you're in the right place.

You disappeared slowly: dimmed your own light so you'd fit, made yourself easy, said YES a few times too many — until one day you looked up, glanced at your life, and felt 93.8% unrecognizable.

Or a hard season did it in one blow — a divorce, a diagnosis, a house gone quiet, a body that aged you before you were ready.

Either way, you're standing face-to-face with a woman you don't recognize.

You got so good at being who everyone needs that you forgot who you are — highly visible to everyone else, and invisible to yourself.

That disappearing has a name: Good Girl Ghosting™.

It’s painful being left on read.

It's devastating realizing you’ve ghosted yourself.

Welcome to the community where that stops — and where the good woman who's lost herself finds her way back, by becoming a Joyful Rebel: a woman who refuses to live small, numb, or performative, who chooses joy as a form of courage and faith as a lived relationship, and who's done hiding her light to stay safe.

Rooted. Radiant. Unapologetically herself.

I'm Rachel Harris, The JOY Coach — a New York Times bestselling author and identity & reinvention coach for women in the thick of a life transition. I’m a Jesus-loving, wine-sipping, whimsy-chasing rebel. I hand you the why AND the how: real words, playful pinkie-toe steps, and joy-first tools — the Holy No, the Sacred Yes, Shadowlight, the Goldilocks No, and more — so you can unbecome who you built and reveal the woman you were created to be.

Pro-family, a little cheeky, faith woven through (real, never preachy), always joy-first — because joy isn't the reward at the end of the work. It's the way back.

No pretending. No pearl-clutching. No highlight reels.

Real talk? Choosing YOU lets your people know the real you, too. The legacy you want isn't someday, it's the way you live now. Together, let’s create a life you LOVE, so you can live a legacy of JOY.

  • The No-Hangover: What to Do With the Guilt After You Finally Said No (Holy No, Part 3)
    2026/09/06

    Send us Fan Mail

You did it. You said the honest no — the Goldilocks Line: not too soft, not too hard, just true. You even stopped talking after. And then, lying in bed that night: "Oh no. What did I do. A good woman would've just said yes."

Here's the truth: you did nothing wrong — and your body is flooding you with guilt like you committed a crime. That's not weakness. It's biology, and an old lesson you learned somewhere along the way that keeping everyone happy kept you safe.

In this finale of The Holy No, we deal with what comes after the brave no, so the guilt never gets to run your life again. You'll learn:

    • Why the guilt after a kind no is muscle memory, not a verdict — and the line to say back: "I didn't do wrong, I did new."
    • The Four Demons that wear the guilt's face — Conflict, Selfish, Judged, and Guilt — and the pocket-sized comeback for each.
    • The one question that sorts the holy from the heavy: is this Jesus, or is this judgment?
    • The Sacred Yes — because there's no such thing as a free-floating no. Every no is guarding a yes worth protecting.

Plus the bravest sixty seconds of my whole last year (it wasn't a no — it was an "I was wrong"), and your one small, playful pinkie-toe step for the week.

I'm Rachel Harris, The JOY Coach — an identity & reinvention coach for women in the thick of a life transition, and the New York Times & USA Today bestselling author who named Good Girl Ghosting™. Honest, funny, faith-woven, and always joy-first.

Say the Holy No. Guard the Sacred Yes. It was always holy work — never selfish work. Create a life you LOVE. Live a legacy of JOY.

  • Not Too Soft, Not Too Hard: The Goldilocks Line for Saying No (Holy No, part 2)
    2026/08/21

    Send us Fan Mail

You already knew the answer was no. So why did it turn into a five-paragraph text with footnotes?

In Part 2 of The Holy No, I hand you the actual words. Not the theory — the words. You’ll walk away with three tools you can use the very next time “yes” comes flying up your throat before your brain’s even in the room:

    • The Pause that buys you the no (one boring little magic sentence)
    • The clean sentence you never have to apologize for
    • The Calm Repeat — how to hold your no when they push back

Plus the reframe that changes everything: you’re not stuck choosing between doormat and jerk. There’s a third door — I call it the Goldilocks Line. Not too soft, not too hard, just true. (And yes, it’s the same three doors as Shrink · Perform · Embody.)

This one’s for every loving, well-raised, often-Christian woman who can plot a happily-ever-after faster than she can decline a volunteer request. You don’t have to trust yourself all the way to choose yourself once.

    ———
✨ Joy Nuggets in this episode:
    1) The thrill of choosing you — that little buzz after you hold the no.
    2) You’re allowed to not answer at the speed of a text notification.
    3) A no rooted in self-trust doesn’t threaten the relationship — it strengthens it.
    4) It feels rude the first time. It isn’t. It’s the warmest kind of honesty.

👣 Your pinkie-toe step this week: use the Pause one time. That’s the whole assignment. “Let me check and get back to you.”

  • The Holy No, Pt 1: The Quiet Yes That's Erasing You
    2026/07/30

    Send us Fan Mail

You say yes, then resent it for days. Meet the relief-then-resentment map that finds the honest thing you keep swallowing. (Holy No, Pt 1)

You said yes before she'd even finished the sentence. And for three days, you've been quietly furious about something you signed yourself up for.

That's Good Girl Ghosting™ in its politest, covered-dish, Sunday-best form — and in Part 1 of The Holy No, Rachel shows you how to catch it. You'll get the relief-then-resentment map (the tool that finds the honest thing you keep swallowing), the two reliefs, why every no is a yes pointed somewhere else, and two bits of science that make saying no actually possible. Plus the church-parking-lot story of the first time her body made the no for her — and how that panic attack became, years later, a three-day catch and a two-line text.

    In this episode:

    • The relief-then-resentment tell — how to find the honest thing you buried

    • The two reliefs (the people-pleasing hit vs. the deep “finally”)

    • The Holy No creates margin — your joy needs the space

    • The science: self-silencing & the excitement reframe

    • Your pinkie-toe step for the week
