  • The Inconvenient Way: What I’ve Learned This Season
    2026/07/28

When I launched this podcast, I thought I was creating a parenting podcast. Somewhere along the way, I realized it had become about something much deeper.

In this Season 1 finale, I’m reflecting on the biggest lessons God has taught me through motherhood, grief, and the ordinary, inconvenient moments of everyday life. We’ll revisit the heart behind The Inconvenient Way, celebrate God’s faithfulness over this past year, and look ahead to Season 2 as we begin learning how to intentionally build a family culture that lasts.

Thank you for listening, growing, and walking this journey with me. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for the next season.

  • When Joy Feels Impossible; Finding Joy When You Can't See What God is Doing
    2026/07/21

When I wrote the chapter on joy in Inconvenient Parenting, I believed every word.

But I hadn’t lived through the hardest season of my life yet.

Just one month after my book released, my son Joey went home to be with the Lord. Looking back, I realize God had been preparing both of us long before I ever recognized it.

In this episode, I share how James 1 became much more than a familiar Bible verse, the unforgettable moment Joey chose “Count it all joy” while lying in a hospital bed before spinal surgery, and how discovering his notebooks after his death revealed a quiet work God had been doing all along.

We’ll talk about the difference between happiness and biblical joy, why God’s deepest work is often hidden from our eyes, and how we can trust Him when we can’t yet see what He’s producing in us or in our children.

If you’ve ever wondered where God is in the middle of disappointment, uncertainty, or grief, I pray this conversation reminds you that His work doesn’t stop simply because you can’t see it.
